THIS!! WHY?? Everything Trump is divisive!

In our neighborhood, we are allowed to display flags, but no signs. A neighbor put up a Trump flag and was immediately called out for it by several residents as “offensive.” Why is a Trump flag offensive? When told they had a right to fly a Trump flag, people started a flag war with “Dump Trump” flags. Some have flags with pictures of Trump portrayed as a clown.
 
Did the My Pillow guy tell his employees they could wear buttons, etc., supporting only conservative causes?

It is “divisive” only because of the left constantly saying it stands for this or that, when they mean it stands for Trump, whom they can’t abide. But for a business to ban it enforces the political views of one party only among its employees and tells some their political views can’t be expressed. I don’t see where a business has that as a proper role.

It is, but this was predictable. We saw recently how Goya was treated. The left has been doing this more and more. Not surprising that the right responds in the same way.

I don’t like it. It is just another division.

I can’t answer that for you. That is a value judgement. My previous statement was for providing an explanation on how feelings become associated with an icon.

My own disposition is that I don’t present identifiers for my political leanings or religious dispositions in the workplace.
 
Cancel culture involves destroying by means of intimidation, threats, and interference on not just the bottom line but the ability to use various payment processors, places of employment, sponsorships, etc etc.

It’s simply not the same as boycotting.
 
This was another act of childishness. Also, his tweet was yet another commercial ad, something he is not supposed to be doing. He is not allowed to try and sell tires from the Oval Office.

Or beans.
 
The objective is to keep conservatives from talking, and it’s working.

When a workplace suppresses the expression of one party only, it’s unlikely to do that. It’s favoring the other party. Red hats and an acronym (which is not party specific in itself) are not what is objected to. It’s that the hats stand for Donald Trump. One cannot overtly favor Donald Trump at Goodyear.
