I know three people who haven’t had abortions who voted for him… ?
Yeah, ya know there might be “OTHER” reasons … terrorism, tax policy, government interference, immigration policy, drug importation, foreign crime gangs, subsidies for illegal aliens, deterioration of our military, declining space science, energy policy, unending foreign wars, and et cetera.

Correct me.
Will is not wonky but a historian animated by strong conservative principles.
His recent piece on Iran, for example, starts with stories of Fermi and Rutherford, then discusses the history of proliferation: how countries of modest means were able, in short time intervals, to produce nuclear arms. It is that history, which is not the least bit wonky, that informs his perspectives on how we should be dealing with Iran.

Even at his wonkiest, summarizing studies to inform his perspective on debt,he starts with a bit of word play with allusion to Adam Smith.

He is deeply thoughtful and scholarly in his writings. Perhaps that is what your mean in differentiating him from Trump.

I’m being called a liberal. And a Puritan. 👍

I guess “conservative” only means allegiance to Trump, and defend every scuzzy perversity he utters.
I didn’t call you either one. But if you want to think of yourself in that way, I can’t prevent it.

So who were you talking about?

It’s natural to think since you were amplifying the remarks of @theo520, who was explicitly responding to @F_Maturana, that you were referring to @F_Maturana.

That is the trouble with such general disparaging comments. Readers do not know just who the comments are directed against.

This seems like ‘projecting’
I can’t see where you were labeled with anything close to your claim.

In politics, being “conservative” or more accurately “Republican” should align with their traditional policy objectives, shouldn’t it? I would also say that not every GOP platform item can be called “conservative”

Here it is with the specifics

So @ridgerunner interjected with a comment about people not engaged in the conversation?
It was just a colossal non sequitur?

stop covering your deflection, you are familiar with how conversations go.

Well, Ingraham called Will’s accusations “absurd” and the column “really sad.”

“I found that from George Will really sad,” Ingraham told her panel. “He’s had an unbelievable career as one of the premier columnists, writers in the United States. He obviously doesn’t like Donald Trump, that’s fine. But I thought it was filled with such low blows. And I wasn’t even angry about it. I was actually sad about it.”

The Fox News host also knocked Will for the “religious overtones” regarding Pence’s faith, which came off as “condescending.”

“I like George Will. A lot of people don’t like George Will who watch this show. I actually like him. I’ve known him for a long time,” Ingraham continued. “And it pains me to say this, but I thought the column was beneath him and filled with low blows and not at all in any way illustrative of the man who Mike Pence is. And he’s a wonderful person and I think a very effective vice president.”

I can only imagine how devastating your critique of the previous eight years might be, then…

ROFL, on cue you pop in with a deflection.
Really? What did Ingraham say that you think has cogency? What content did you find that is worthy of a discussion?
Her remarks seemed like your post#13.

Yet again, you responded with an ad hominem as a deflection.
It’s the second from the bottom, you could do worse I guess, but that would clearly be against forum rules which probably explains why you are on the second rung.
