For the love of God if anyone you know is thinking about joining the armed forces please do your best to talk them out of it.

At least until we are on our 4th National Security Advisor under Donald Trump which wouldn’t surprise me if it is within Trump’s first 2 years. 5th if you count an acting one inbetween Flynn and McMaster.

But just another typical day in America under Trump. His tariff talk overshadowed by the resignation of his lead attorney in the investigation of Donald Trump. Then the firing of another National Security Advisor. And we finish off the evening with yet another woman talking about an affair the thrice married and married at the time, Donald Trump had.

Where I’m at there is still 1 hr and 18 minutes left of Thursday though. Plenty of time for another mulligan to be given on the part of the religious “right”.

Did Barack Obama appoint better people than Donald Trump?

After firing his Secretary of State Donald Trump declared that he is finally close to the cabinet he wants. That begs the question…who appointed the cabinet that he doesn’t want anymore? Qualified people with self respect don’t want to venture anywhere near Donald Trump. They have seen how he humiliated Rex Tillerson and Jeff Sessions. They have seen sterling reputations tarnished like General Kelly. They have seen the appointment of totally unqualified laughing stocks like Betsy DeVos, Rick Perry and Ben Carson.

Donald Trump no longer has the option of appointing better people. They know to stay away in droves. The only options he has now are the opportunists. That’s what happens when you run the White House like a reality TV show.

Update…3/15/2018 9:45PM. Several news outlets have reported that National Security Adviser General McMaster’s head is on the chopping block. Let’s not forget that Trump’s first National Security Adviser, General Flynn is a convicted felon. But never fear, Trump knows all the “best people”. Leading candidates for National Security Adviser include any number of Fox News pundits and Trump golfing buddies.

Update- 3/22/18. Looks like the “fake media” nailed this one. McMaster and Dowd are out, Fox News pundits Bolton and diGenova are in. Be afraid, be very afraid.

And here is a chart of the White House Revolving Door:

John Bolton is one of the worst, most dishonest swamp creatures. He hasn’t met a war he doesn’t like. He seems to actually hate peace. This is anything but MAGA and draining the swamp.

It is obvious at this point and with yesterday’s budget that this presidency will be looked back on with great regret. As usual the GOP accomplishes nothing of what it promises (except more war and deficit spending on making war). The best hope for Republican voters remains a GOP congress and Democrat presidency. Then the congress has to actually vote like they say they will.

I realize some just can’t bring themselves to approve of anything Trump has ever done, but one might recall that Hillary Clinton had us in a war for reasons that are still not fully known (and which Obama said was a mistake), the end result of which was an Islamist takeover of most of a country. Trump, on the other hand, appears to have closed one down in a manner favorable to this country.

If Hillary Clinton had won the presidency and driven ISIS into the ground, there would already be a bronze statue to her in DC and (probably) Beverly Hills. But since it was Trump, it’s perhaps the best kept secret in America.

The reasons Hillary and Obama were making war are the same as why Bush II made war on Iraq. The powers that be (above both parties) want the Middle East reshaped. And they profit off of endless war. Bolton is for all wars.

I approve of half of what Trump says he will do. The problem is the half I approve of is the half that doesn’t get done in large part due to the worthless GOP congress.

Bolton is for all wars.
But is he? What war has he started? My recollection of his tenure at the UN is that he was much like Nikki Hailey; the voice of reason in the world’s worst swamp.

We have different outlooks. I think Nikki Hailey is an insane warmonger. I think the same of Bolton. They both want the US to be the world’s policeman. Not for the benefit of US citizens but for the powers that be.

Wow, you and I agree on something… ( looking up in the sky for the return of Joshua )

Bolton (of ““in February 2003, according to Ha’aretz, an Israeli newspaper, Under Secretary of State John Bolton told Israeli officials that after defeating Iraq the United States would ‘deal with’ Iran, Syria, and North Korea.””, “[paraphrased] the upcoming Trump-Kim summit is good because it will fail and then we can justify going to war with North Korea”, The Legal Case for Striking North Korea First, no number of potential South Korean civilian casualties can stop us from starting a war with North Korea fame) is basically a pacifist.

Not to worry. Trump isn’t that modest to not take credit whether it’s deserved or not.

John Bolton will literally be the “Little Devil sitting on the Shoulder” of Trump. And I don’t think there is a literal “Little Angel sitting on the Other Shoulder” of Trump.

I read one theory that Trump wants Bolton to be his bad cop. That allows Trump to be the good cop and get deals made. That actually is plausible as I think Trump operates like that. In fact he has written a book saying he does. Trump lays out extreme positions in order to settle in the middle.

That said, neocons are dangerous traitors who can never be trusted. Bringing in an arch neocon is letting even more foxes in the hen house.

See, im not all that bad after all. 😄

Not exactly. I think I’m actually more paleoconservative if anything. I’m also more of a monarchist or at least believe we need an aristocracy. I know I have unusual political views.
