I’m listening attentively for the regulars here…but all I hear is crickets.

Chirp, Chirp, Chirp!
Yep Boatswain, RidgeRunner, and others of like mind have not chimed in yet…Chirp, Chirp, Chirp!

Read your history books again. The right wing would still be paying taxes to King George if they had had it their way all along.

Do not let your heart be troubled…your “opinion”, like mine, is not worthless…but, to quote the White House Press Secretary, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But, nobody is entitled to their own facts,” …and who are you or I to argue with Sarah?
So, you’re claiming to know for a fact that the President is a “narcissistic sociopath”? What are your credentials for making such a diagnosis? Medical degree? Board Certified Psychiatrist? Did you stay in a Holiday Inn Express?

No, I’m not…I use those words because it would be bad form to use this venue to call him what I think he is, which takes no special qualification. … I think its one of those words that would violate CAF rules, but it is part of the human anatomy.

Don’t expect we will until Fox or one of the other right wing sites give them fodder for talking points, and at the moment they are silent, trying to figure how to spin it into the fault of Clinton or Obama or the FBI.

Not according to Nixon. In fact he removed the song “Cool Cool Conservative Men” from the movie “1776” because it showed them as refusing to sign the Declaration of Independence. Check it out.

Yep, it will be a hard spin for the Spin Masters.

Who would have believed this presidency if predicted 5 years ago?

Every day it gets more and more surreal.

Whoot!! They moved up the release date. I will have it at midnight 🙂

It seems like we agree; there’s nothing Trump could do that you’d support.
There are things that I would fully support.

Outlaw IVF, pregancy surrogacy, etc. through promoting such legislation at the federal level

Forbid privatization of the penal system through legislation. Require the federal prison system to work to rehabilitating the incarcerated through job training and education.

If he encourages the draft and promises to sign a bill, and to do everything within his power to defend such a law in the Courts, making surgical or chemical abortion illegal in the United States with no loopholes.

If he were to sincerely apologize for his actions and or hyperbole regarding sexual mistreatment of women.

If he were to give up his access to Social Media

If he were to send up a tax bill that repealed income (and other federal taxes) replacing with a national sales tax

If he were to lead the charge for actual national single payer healthCARE, not forced health Insurance.

If he were to give full-throated support to an energized space program

If he were to encourage every American family to consider adoption from the foster care system and provide a way to cover the costs of adopt from foster

School vouchers

There are many, many things that he could do that would cause the strongest “never Trumper” to stand up and cheer.

Well, we know not President Obama. Sweet chin music for a lot of the Trump folks when he handed over the keys of the kingdom to him.
If he were to give full-throated support to an energized space program
Biggest obstacle to this is the welfare state and us paying for the defense of countries that use the spare expense to create more welfare states.
If he were to encourage every American family to consider adoption from the foster care system and provide a way to cover the costs of adopt from foster
I don’t think we want the federal government involved in this. They don’t think much of the family and Trump is only holding the line on social issues because he needs the right-wing base.
If he were to give up his access to Social Media
Only way he can do that is if the elites and media cover him fairly. Fact is they’re just as ego-driven as he is if not more so.

So when Bannon was campaigning for Moore along with Trump, was that a symptom of losing his mind? Or was that just a glimmer of sanity?

As far as I know, Bannon and Trump never made a joint appearance and Donald Trump never set foot in the state of Alabama.

However, it was more than okay to support Roy Moore. He was the MORAL choice over Doug Jones based on the abortion issue alone.

You might try to reflect and understand what Pope Franics was getting at whenhe said:
We cannot insist only on issues related to abortion… . But when we speak about these issues, we have to talk about them in a context… We have to find a new balance. Otherwise even the moral edifice of the church is likely to fall like a house of cards, losing the freshness and fragrance of the Gospel.

El Rushbo said it best “Today’s liberals were yesterday’s slave owners and loyalists”.

They’d also make fine scribes and Pharisees.

Not without heavy debate. The first draft of the Declaration of Independence denounced slavery but that clause was scratched out as the southern delegates wouldn’t sign it.

The status quo was maintained in regards slavery unfortunately.
