Trump and Epstein also know each other. Trump said so they’ve known each other for years and he’s a “Terrific guy”. (New York Magazine)
 
According to a new CBS poll that came out today, Clinton got a bounce and is now ahead of Trump 46 percent to 39 percent.

I am for neither of these candidates…but it seems to me that everytime a new controversy starts with him, he’s helping Hilary to get elected. Most recently between his public attacks of the Khan family, and his lack of knowledge of Russian occupation of Crimea, and his continued refusal to release his taxes…it just seems to me that everytime he opens his mouth he’s helping Hilary to get elected.

The same argument has been made on these boards that if one removes the abortion issue, Trump is the better candidate. Was that argument also wrong?

I personally cannot vote for either candidate. But the argument that as Catholics we need to pick Trump as the savior of the babies is one I cannot believe. He’s not prolife…

If Supreme Court justices don’t matter then by all means write in Jesus or Mary or Ted Cruz or marco Rubio.

True. But then this isn’t the Hillary Clinton thread either. Nor does Clinton hanging around with bad people and supporting un-Catholic positions forgive Trump for doing the same.

Really the only candidate that shares most Catholic values that a Catholic can seemingly vote for with a straight face is Johnson.

Her bio has stated she was a fashion/runway model. These pics are not fashion pics.

Yet they got released. Her husband never thought that maybe he could prevent their release by buying the rights, or issuing a lawsuit. The fact that they were released by the New York Post is odd since they have been pretty favorable in their reporting towards him, as compared to the Daily News who often features negative covers on him.

They are porn. Not fashion. Again, it isn’t as if trump didn’t have the power to have the pics destroyed. Why wouldn’t he? Why didn’t he?

Melania was a model and did so some runway or fashion shoots. Sadly, these types of pictures are jobs models accept when legitimate modeling jobs are not as frequent. It’s sad.

There’s actually a train of thought out there that Trump’s own campaign released those porn pictures into wider circulation as a distraction from the absolute raking over the coals Trump set himself up for with his comments on and too the Khan family which are, to put it mildly, not being well received on either side of the aisle. Nothing like a few compromising photos of your wife to get people’s minds off the fact you’ve completely disrespected a fallen serviceman and his family to the point where the other leaders in your own party are disavowing you.

But it’s odd that posters bring up mud to sling at Trump when there’s an equal amount, if not more, mud to sling at Clinton. It’s as if these posters don’t even realize it until it’s pointed out to them. At the least, it’s uninformed. At the worst, it’s hypocritical

These are not important. There is no need to be sad about Melania. Either they have a good marriage or they don’t. Either way it’s none of our business. Why feel sad about melania when ones opinion of her husband is so low? Melania is of no consequence. I may be wrong but when you say trump is not prolife it seems to me that it all comes down to a personal disliking of everything about him.

I say he’s not prolife because he has no prolife background at all.

Also, the Melania pics are porn. And not at all like the Sistine chapel or David by Michelangelo. But we aren’t supposed to notice any of these things. My goodness, he sends her out with a borrowed speech, and was unprepared to stop a release of pics of his wife that are not fashion but porn.

Depending on what kind of Presbyterian he is, Trump remarrying without having undergone a “biblical divorce” would in fact be invalid and he would be an active adulterer. If he’s PCUSA the rules on divorce are clear that it is allowed, though from what I’m seeing remarriage is a little more hazy.

You are perfectly entitled to noticing all those things. So your reason for being against trump is tthat he can’t protect his wife? Or that he married her in the first place? It really doesn’t matte r to me. I understand where you come from. I’m just surprised that you being a prolife activist would rank Melania so imprtant as compared to the Supreme Court.
 
What I find particularly disturbing about Donald Trump’s comments on the Khan family is comments he directed to Mr. Khan’s wife.

“If you look at his wife, she was standing there,” Trump said. “She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me.”

This comment is particularly offensive in that he is deriding another person’s culture. Instead of unifying America he is actively engaged in a campaign to divide people and to appeal to the lowest common denominator of prejudice and bias.

I am going to vote for Donald Trump for Hillary Clinton is not a viable alternative for me but I am going to hold my nose as I vote for him.
