It’s not Trump’s pro-life position. It’s his constituents, the people in his cabinet, and the people he says he’ll appoint.
One can only hope that is the case, and he isn’t just using them, like Woodrow Wilson vis-à-vis African-Americans.

Vote for Hillary.

That’s the only way the very, very scary Trump won’t be elected to the most powerful position in the country.
Your avatar depicts a baby inutero ,which leads me to believe you are aware of the intrinsic evil of abortion, yet you are on the forum campaigning for HC,who you know unabashedly supports abortion, ant any phase of pregnancy forvany and all all reasons.:confused:

I know. It’s a slim hope on my part, but I can’t just bring myself to vote against that hope.

I know. Slim chance, better than no chance. That may be naïveté on my part, though.

Very sad. I am glad I do not have to vote in your election.

Because of things Abyssinia has been posting.

But, you’re right, I don’t think it’s a very strong hope. But, as a pro-lifer, it defies reason to vote for Clinton.
Oh I agree. There’s no way a devout Catholic can vote Clinton. But quite frankly I’m not seeing how a devout Catholic can vote Trump either knowing his pro-life position is likely all talk, he’s got no issue with porn, he’s being opposed by the pope, etc…

Both major candidates aren’t really options for Catholics who aren’t deluding themselves. In fact the only candidate that seems to share the majority of Catholic positions on issues is Gary Johnson.

Probably no coincidence after both National Conventions that the number of voters voting for “Other” candidates now stands at approx 25%. Trump only has approx 35% and Clinton only has approx 41%

I just recently read somewhere how Catholics selling out faith for the world is a kind of anti-gospel. People keep talking about how this is the demise of the Republican party. I personally think it’s the downward spiral in the country, period. But, I just can’t help but have hope in Christ and His Church, and that something will rise again. There’s something far deeper than Trump and Clinton going on here, and I recognize that. Here ends my jeremiad.

My husband does civilian contracting with defense. He’s more scared by Hillary. As a pro-lifer, I’m more scared by Hillary. .
Watch what McCain and his allies do and you will know where the defense industry stands on Trump. McCain leads the coalition that is very pro-defense contractors (aka military - industrial complex.)

Trump has some very powerful foes after him. If he wins this election a lot of people will be very surprised.

STATEMENT FROM REPUBLICAN VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, GOVERNOR MIKE PENCE

Donald Trump and I believe that Captain Humayun Khan is an American hero and his family, like all Gold Star families, should be cherished by every American.

Captain Khan gave his life to defend our country in the global war on terror. Due to the disastrous decisions of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, a once stable Middle East has now been overrun by ISIS. This must not stand.

By suspending immigration from countries that have been compromised by terrorism, rebuilding our military, defeating ISIS at its source and projecting strength on the global stage, we will reduce the likelihood that other American families will face the enduring heartbreak of the Khan family.

Donald Trump will support our military and their families and we will defeat the enemies of our freedom.

It is the demise of the Republican party:

A Republican intellectual explains why the Republican Party is going to die

About the author (from Wiki):

Roy has advised three Republican Party presidential candidates. He was a health care policy advisor to Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign and was the senior advisor to Rick Perry’s 2016 campaign. After Rick Perry withdrew from the race, Roy joined the 2016 presidential campaign of Marco Rubio as a policy advisor.

Yeah, let Pence pretend to clean it all up. Priceless.

And how to do trust that he’ll appoint people that hold those positions? Knowing he’s been pro-choice in the past, and particularly if it comes to light he’s been involved with one or more abortions personally? I mean the only evidence we have that he’s pro-life, is that he says he’s pro-life. But talk is cheap, particularly in light of mounting evidence to the contrary…
“Believe me”

Serious question: what’s the reason for this double standard? Is it because Bill is a man and Melania a woman? Or is it because he’s democrat and she’s republican?
It’s a double standard created by his wife’s nude photos and his strip joints

Of course Pence is being used to clean it up. That’s what he’s there for. He’s the actual pro-lifer who actually respects the military and military service people. That said, he might want to look at who actually started the war in Iraq and who voted for it…

Hint, his party’s president did and he voted for it personally 😉

Yes but Pence is entitled to making a mistake. Hillary isn’t.

This is the kind of statement that Mr. Trump should have issued a few days ago. But it’s a laughable attempt at damage control by Mike Pence considering that Trump is continuing to attack the Khans with new tweets this morning.

Yeah Trump’s attacks on the Khans have continued after Pence issued that statement. He really doesn’t know when to shut his mouth.
