If that’s the case, than I’d probably vote for Hillary over Trump, but the most likely option is me not voting for either of them. I don’t know who the good guy is any more, and whoever wins, I can’t say that it’s a good thing either way. This election cycle has been abysmal. When did politics get this pathetic and disturbingly bad in this country?

I note that, if you listen closely, at the beginning he says “The laws are set now on abortion and that’s the way they’re going to remain until they’re changed." (emphasis added) So basically that doesn’t say anything at all (right?). 🤷

No matter what Donald really means, this is going to get reported in the press with headlines line the one at the* Guardian*:

"Donald Trump changes his line on abortion, again, saying ‘laws are set’"

Well, first it was pass laws where women went to jail. Then it was pass laws, but don’t send women to jail. Now, it’s pass no new laws. What was the 4th?

If you’ll excuse me for saying something a little random, on CNN a little while ago I noticed that in 1988 some demonstrators dressed in prison costumes, holding “Murderers for Dukakis” signs … hard not to think of the recent “Racists for Trump” SNL skit.

Based on the last three days, I don’t think he had a position. Hey, there you go. No position to making laws putting women in jail and you have four!

It’s really sad that even though his positions constantly change, his supporters are still loyal to him.

CNN counts an in-between phase Donald Trump’s 3 positions on abortion in 3 hours (seems like they were trying to squeeze everything they could out of it):
Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks sent in a statement from Trump to reporters: “This issue is unclear and should be put back into the states for determination. Like Ronald Reagan, I am pro-life with exceptions, which I have outlined numerous times.”

this might be well received here on this forum but take it to the general public, the hypocrisy is apparent.
 
When CAF isn’t getting soundly behind the GOP candidate (assuming that will be Trump) it can’t be good news at all for the GOP.

There was nearly universal approval of Romney in 12’ by Conservatives.

If Trump becomes the candidate he will be trounced. Maybe even Dukakis-style.

The GOP seems to know this thus their scrambling to have any candidate but Trump.

Maybe, but I feel Trump could be an even bigger disaster. As I said before, I likely won’t vote for either of them, and I wouldn’t say either winning is a particularly good thing.
