Theological seminaries and becoming a professor sounds wonderful doesn’t it? If one can persuade others to accept what they espouse by claiming to have great knowledge - you could sell a lot of books! Its best if there is proven success to back up the knowledge.

An example might be “The Art of the Deal” by Donald J. Trump. A very well known book, and currently selling quite well to those who didn’t read it when it was first released. One can see why it would be interesting - plus the author has proved success at what he wrote.

Hilary Clinton wrote a book, but it did not do well. Not surprising really. What would she be successful at? Maybe how to bark like a dog could inspire her supporters. Or, a book about commodity trading (she made lots of money off of cattle futures and there were accusations of bribery. Really many varied chapters in her history of being married to Bill would make for hot reading - not very inspiring though.

What difference does it make anyway, she advocates abortion including live birth and butchering baby parts for sale. What kind of a person would want to vote for her as the President and leader of our country? Only people who wish to see the complete ruin of the American people begun by Barry.
👍

Look, for all the Trumpites and newbies out there:

If you’re running as a GOP candidate, the other side expects you to be perfect morally.

If not, you are a hypocrite and the liberals can do what you did 10 times over and worse and it’s still okay in their minds.
No, we just expect you not to be a serial adulterer while espousing ludicrous, dangerous, political ideas.

There’s no moral choice, in my view, except to vote for a third candidate.

I don’t trust Trump as far as I could throw him, and don’t believe for a minute he’s pro-life, which takes that argument right off the table for me. (I won’t vote for a pro-abortion or pro-choice candidate for dogcatcher.) Combined with my sheer terror at the thought of him with nuclear codes, added to his other outrageous positions, it means there are no circumstances under which I would vote for him.
What you have is pure opinion with no facts. He has no blood and his hands unlike those in office. Yet you have no sheer terror of the abortion president nor rantings about him with nuclear codes. This is sheer fanaticism. Not rooted in factual reality and surely not educated Catholic teaching again proposing a “expert” opinion which is simply “absent”.

I really think we ought to leave the “expert opinion” position and failed argument alone. Its very clear thats not forthcoming nor has been.

I do believe him but surely don’t believe the factual reality of the current culture of death.

Best one could suggest is they believe another rep more. Thats OK too.

All pregnant woman can make the choice to have a baby or to abort it.

NO woman is FORCED by the government in ANY WAY to have an abortion, with very rare exceptions, and then they are NEVER forced by the government.

ALL WOMEN are welcome to carry their children to term.

Did you direct everyone to confine their posts to discussing Trump? Seems you broke your own advice!

From someone who was waterboarded.

nationalinterest.org/feature/no-doubt-about-it-waterboarding-torture-period-11937

And Trump accepts this affront to human dignity. He not only accepts it, he advocates for it, just as he advocates for killing the innocent families of terrorists.
Right. That is what I don’t like about him. However, my interpretation of his remarks on the families of terrorists is that if the family members are complicit in brutal terrorist activities, then they should be held responsible, even though they may not have pulled the trigger themselves. I think that this is reasonable.

No, I can’t direct anyone to discuss or not to discuss anything, no one but myself, nor do I make rules. When someone brought up Clinton and abortion, I said “This is the Trump thread” an “We are discussing torture.” Some people don’t know Clinton is being discussed on another thread.

And, you left off part of my post in which I returned the discussion to Trump. And torture. Misdirection.

I didn’t get that because that would make them terrorists, too.

Your view is sadly a vote for pro-death Hillary Clinton.

Trump says he’s pro-life, you think he’s lying, I ask: are you Padre Pio and can read his heart?

Donald Trump on Abortion

Mike
No one really knows his stand on abortion because it changes almost daily; his stand on torture does not. He’s for expanding it.

You’re welcome. 🙂 He is a local broadcast journalist and part-time Catholic college instructor who has a wide range of articles on any number of topics at his fingertips. And we both still actually read a variety of sources, which is, sadly, becoming rarer and rarer.
That’s great! 👍

As for the reading, I don’t get as much done as I used to.

Please don’t make me quote all your hypocrisy from this morning. You’d be again wasting my time as you had no educated response then nor will you when I put a real indictment sheet just from today together.

You support the Democratic “culture of death-abortion and war everywhere” party and you roll out Catholic teaching to beat people with and in hypocrisy, but then quickly claim this is not a theocracy here when confronted with your own hypocrisy. And the expert card I assure you fell sloppy dead.

I fail to see where you have a logical point professor. You have hypocrisy and with no response to it.

OK. But there is an overlap of material on the threads.
I realize that happens. Just wanted to let you know the abortion discussion is more on that thread in case you didn’t know. Didn’t mean to offend you. Apologies.

The amount of bashing Lily takes on these forums is nothing short of shameful.

What exactly are you hoping to accomplish through derogatory comments?
Its par for the course for those of use who don’t hate President Obama and swallow all the bogus accusations against him.

Fact is, abortion has been legal since 1973 and as Lil has show, none of the GOP controlled congresses or presidents have sought to out law it completely.

Why ? Because they know any law they write, has to have a penalty provision in it and they would never get it through congress, never mind have it stand up before the SCOTUS.

So, today, we’re left with Republicans who provide lip service to their masses, but not much more.

That beings said however, it was Republicans who did get Partial Birth Abortions banned and the Hyde Amendment Passed.

This is true, unfortunately.

Your have a double standard and hypocrisy and no response, your a democrat self admitted and on THIS thread. Your a pot calling a kettle black only yours is in fact intrinsic evil.

Gary, I’ve said many times I’m not a Republican or a Democrat. I’m an Independent.
