Brilliant move I have to admit. Clinton could well move to the center in the general.
She’ll have to. But this is how all elections go, talk to the base to start with, and then move to a more centrist view in the general. After all, most people don’t know or don’t remember what was said in the primaries by a candidate. Some don’t care.

Right, I predict both Clinton and Trump move to the center (assuming both earn nomination). There was some question that Clinton would go left to pull the Sanders folks. Up against Trump I think she will go center though - that is what this Israel gesture indicates to me.

Every day, Republicans truly fight for the life of the unborn; this is clear per anyone who keeps up with pro-life news.
But this thread is about Donald Trump, not Republicans. He has not been an advocate for the unborn.

Perhaps this criticism can be repeated to others who have spoken about Republicans here if one follows the conversation of just the previous pages if one is fair. I don’t think if one makes such points against whomever, they should not be defended if I find the criticism unfair.

Woops! Donald Trump is a Republican candidate and he has declared that he is pro life!

I will take all I can get for ridding pro-aborts places of governmental power! Plus, he has the proven skills needed for being the Chief Executive.

He certainly never legislated one way or the other.

He never voted one way or another in congress, state, local, national.

I don’t think every woman should go to prison forever.
Who wants every woman to go to prison? The issue is whether or not a mother who has murdered her child should be punished. Why should a husband who murders his wife be punished, but if a mother murders her child, she should be free to do so? Not every woman should be punished, only the murderers of children.

So, one might as well say, one can not vote for abortion enabling politicians as a Catholic.

Especially with the extremist position of the DNC.
So is it then a mortal sin for a Roman Catholic to vote for Hillary? Hillary is not only pro-choice, but she has said that Catholics and others must change their religious beliefs on this question.

Clinton Delights AIPAC with Blistering Attacks on Trump
She also addressed the Iranian nuclear deal — a sore subject for most AIPAC attendees — promising that her administration wouldn’t hesitate to rip up the deal should Iran violate its terms. “The leaders of Iran will have no doubt that if we see any indication that they are violating their commitments not to seek, develop, or acquire nuclear weapons, the United States will act to stop it — and that we will do so with force, if necessary
,” Clinton promised.

Me Gusta Trump: Portrait of a Hispanic Trump Voter

. . .

Still, Castillo knows that his Latino heritage and Donald Trump’s vow to deport eleven million undocumented immigrants might seem irreconcilable. “I do think about it often,” he admits. The dilemma is not exclusive to Castillo. Trump’s Hispanic supporters are often called “traitors” or worse on social media, which is why Castillo mostly refuses to talk politics anywhere but Twitter, where he does so anonymously. (He never posts anything on Facebook or LinkedIn, and at first refused to give me his full name for fear of repercussions.) He’s also concerned about how his views might be interpreted in the workplace: “They might fire me if they knew I like Trump.” Castillo bristles at the idea that he might be betraying his own people or his own family’s history. “I am not anti-Hispanic at all,” he says. “What I am is anti-breaking-the-law.” Castillo suggests a distinction: “People need to understand, illegal is not a race.” When I ask him about Trump’s plans for deporting millions of immigrants, he seems incredulous. He insists Trump is not anti-immigrant nor would he ultimately expel that staggering number of people from the country: “I think he will only deport some of the criminals,” he says. “And then the other criminals will self-deport.” In fact, Castillo doesn’t think Donald Trump is a racist at all: “If I did, I wouldn’t support him,” he adds emphatically.

‘NEUTRAL’ SLAM
Clinton picks Israel fight with Trump
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton openly challenged Donald Trump’s commitment to the U.S.-Israel alliance during an address Monday before the country’s most influential pro-Israel group, slamming his call to be “neutral” in peace talks and offering what could be a preview of the general election battle.
I have to agree. I don’t know precise what her strategy is – which is not to suggest that she doesn’t have one (I’m careful not to underestimate her) – but presenting the Democrats as the pro-Israel party is very smart. Unless she can’t pull it off, but I suspect that she can. 😦

Nice try.The Huff Po and Salon are ,hardly reliable sources.
They are very reliable sources better than right wing Fox news, Rush Limbaugh. GOP has voted in favor of corporate outsourcing of American jobs to Communist China which fuelrd the largest economic expansion since the industrial age accceptt the creation of jobs and wealth have been to Communist Red China. They have killed every job bill sent by Obama, refuse to increase wages, cut social programs to help people get back on their feet, have refused to reign in Wall Street and Big Banks, have given tax breaks and subsidies to larger corporation, I can go on and on how the GOP has destroyed America

** Trump is a “demagogue of the greatest proportion”**

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday that Trump is an “interloper and a demagogue of the greatest proportion,” urging Republicans to put aside their differences and back Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for the nomination.

“The bottom line is I believe Donald Trump would be an absolute, utter disaster for the Republican Party, destroy conservatism as we know it,” he said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” "We would get wiped out and it would take generations to overcome a Trump candidacy."

I think that Lindsey Graham is a disaster in many ways.

Back in the day, Hillary Clinton was a hawk. She toned it down after Obama won the election and kind of took over the direction of the Democratic party in 2008. And of course she joined forces with him - Benghazi being the biggest disaster there. She will have to answer for that. But I do buy the pro-Israel stuff from her - she has done it before and both parties have always been strongly pro Israel, until Obama, completely bipartisan. This is just lost territory she is picking back up on the Dem side. It will play well with the Jewish vote and many independents, moderates, both parties. Ted Cruz territory here - she is going to the right of Trump.

Trump has zero experience in foreign relations. Zero. Business doesn’t count. If it did, I’d qualify for president, and I don’t.
And - given the incredibly dangerous era in which we live - the thought of having a Commander in Chief with no foreign policy experience whatsoever (even less than Obama had!) is a truly frightening possibility. Add in a volatile (to say the least) temperament, and the prospect becomes truly scary.

Advisors are all well and good, but I want a President with common sense and a cool, calm head making crucial, life-or-death decisions.

Woops! Donald Trump is a Republican candidate and he has declared that he is pro life!.
That is why I said he** has not been** and advocate for the unborn, emphasizing his** past** which is devoid of action that supports his current abortion posture this campaign.

Yes, Trump is a Republican this year. However, he is the specific topic, not how great all Republicans are, if one thinks that.

Back in the day, Hillary Clinton was a hawk. .
When did she change? Presumably she supported the high-altitude bombing in Serbia. She supported the Islamic takeover in Libya and Egypt. She supported the doubtful rebels in Syria, and supported the Iraq War. How many wars does she need to favor before people think of her as a hawk?

Dems who purport to disfavor foreign military adventures should be running from her. But they aren’t.

Foreign Policy is about negotiation so Trump has extensive experience.

In contrast, Obama had
  • zero Foreign Policy experience,
  • zero negotiation experience,
  • zero management experience
Did you vote for Obama and with what justification?
he had no experience relevant to the job of POTUS (using your own qualifications)
