But why?

I dont understand why people dislike him so much? I’m very confused…. he seems like he’s all for protecting US citizens.

What’s so bad about him? My husband thinks he’s great! He seems to say all the right things…

I’ve noticed theres a lot of dislike of Trump on these forums and I don’t know what we’re missing??

I cant believe that people would consider Hilary Clinton for one second over Trump?

He stands up for America, he is no bully but a patriot.

Trump worships money? Because he is too rich?

He has said that it’s not money that motivates him, that money is only a way to keep track, that he’s motivated more by success in doing what he does, in making things happen. He is more thrilled by the process of achieving success than the money that came as a result.

What one is addressing I believe sounds more like class warfare; it sounds like following leftist principles, the Democratic party but not about Catholicism.

There is nothing wrong for wanting to achieve success in life. When asked to give advice to young people, trump always says, do what you love and then work very very hard to achieve your dreams, and never ever ever give up. It’s about drive, high standards, work ethic, and tenacity. These are good qualities for young people to emulate and for a healthy society.

Another thing Trump says that may surprise many people here is that family is the most important thing. He talks about knowing some rich friends who are miserable because of a bad family environment. He talks about how important it is to have a loving family and to teach the children right. His mantra is no smoking, no drinking, no drugs for his children.

He doesn’t stand up for Mexican-Americans, Middle Eastern-Americans, African-Americans, and a whole lot of other people.

He tries to tell other people who they are and what to do. To me, that’s bullying and always will be.

Other than the vote, one wonders when that was. And since there is not the least possibility of that being the case again, one still needs to wonder what Hillary Clinton means about “religious beliefs” having to change. Given her support of abortion and homosexual “marriage”, it’s not hard to guess whose religion she wants changed.

Since Catholicism is clearly in those cross-hairs, one marvels that any Catholic could support Hillary Clinton.

Please don’t judge other people. I thought Catholics weren’t supposed to do that.

I believe the question was why those that do not like him do not like him. I was just answering the question. I do not debate my opinion. I know a bully when I see one and will keep my own counsel on the definition of a bully, no one else’s.

That was what I liked least about him. The other issues also remain.

This is very confusing - what do you mean? This is a thread for political discussion and, unless you are unaware, your own posts have flipped because what you refer to as “evaluations” on your part come across as opinions of judgement. By the way, using judgement is not uncharitable or something “Catholics weren’t supposed to do”.

Perhaps over-posting causes one to loose track of which side is up.

I did not know that answering a question in good faith was an act of bullying. Yes, I have my own definition for bullying and consider Donald Trump one. However, you are the first person who has ever equated it with criticism.

When someone criticizes him he goes on twitter and calls them names and casts aspersions on their character and then his followers pile on. This article goes into the details. (I know it’s the New York Times but I think it’s factually correct.) His goal isn’t to engage in reasoned debate but to instill fear in people who might criticize him.

Good point. I took your last post wrong. Yes, there are many that try to push their opinions using force, pressure, volume; anything but reason. And no, I do not revel in it. In fact, I was appalled by some of the childish things Rubio said. If he thought he was trying to be funny, he failed.

You are distorting what trump said and you know it.
People in the media shouldn’t be given a pass. They have too much power. Trump must fight to win.
