Trump tries to smear Martin Gugino, Catholic Peace Activist

The premise that he was in cahoots with ANTIFA is pulled totally from thin air. It is inexcusable that the President is spreading it around as if there were evidence for it. There is not.

The President of the United States has a job to do. He is doing the opposite. I think he ought to return to being a private citizen, where he will do a bit less damage and someone else can do his job. Too bad he made absolutely sure it won’t be a Republican. (It will either be a Democrat or it will be him again.)
Checking on the news reporting of this I see some common words.

falsely, conspiracy, peace activist, Antifa, no evidence

They are writing as these are facts and we do not know if and who paid him. Suggesting their may be a connection is worthy of investigating. One again, Trump came to this party late. Suspicion was circulating around Buffalo since a few hours after the incident.

There are many around Buffalo who know him. Trump may have gotten info from the DA that has not been made public yet.

Oh, because VonDerTann told us we have nothing to fear from the police. It is illogical. Because, statistics.
This kind of sarcastic hyperbole does nothing to advance anything good, and in fact is a great hindrance to people’s ability to deal constructively with adversity. Including your own.

Rant on as you wish.

This is all a public relations nightmare for the police. They do not need Donald Trump getting people more stirred up by passing around stories pulled out of thin air.
What is your evidence story was pulled out of thin air?

Video in slow mo - in context the police were given an order to clear the area at curfew. That is why they are advancing together…

Interestingly enough, if he WAS Antifa, would we know it?

Almost surely not, particularly since Antifa goes to great lengths to hide the identities of its members.

One thing is certain: Antifa exists. Their takeover of Seattle City Hall happened. They exist, and are growing in violence.

I am not alluding to Martin’s intentions as I do not know them but it is odd that his photographer was ready to capture this incident as it unfolded, and that the injuries captured by the camera don’t coincide with how he fell. These things should be considered.

For anyone who remembers the NBA of the 1980s, that’s a Bill Laimbeer-worthy flop. Cop barely touched him and he goes down like he was hit by a poleax.

Other video show Gugino hanging out and leaning on the round bollard for a while. When the police advance he walks directly toward them. Why?

Some protesters were arguing with him before the incident and asked him why he was there. His reply? “To have some fun”. What did he mean by that?

Unfortunately we’ll never know, but it was clearly for no good. Considering the police are themselves targets, efforts to photograph cops from up close are IMHO a form of implied threat.

This guy was a troublemaker on many levels. He doesn’t get a pass because he was 75; because he claims he was nonviolent; or any other reason.

Now look closely at this picture - what do you notice about his legs?

Watch the hand with the cell phone.

I could call 911 and stand next to the man and ascertain if he’s breathing and alert.

That isn’t hard, and it doesn’t require a medical degree.

The EMT’s were on site and immediately attended him. I wish they could be interviewed.

What would you like to know? He’s still on the hospital. Are they in on the conspiracy as well?
Release the records… They report he is on the mend, maybe just keeping him out of sight for a while.

You do not see anything of concern in those photos?

Having seen that kind of thing quite a few times, I strongly disagree. That’s exactly the kind of fall that would end up with you smacking your head on the pavement. Never good, he’s got a very serious injury.

I disagree with this also. He may still be spry, but by the time you hit your seventies your balance, reflexes and bone density have been degrading for a while. Watch how his feet are moving as he begins moving backwards, the placement is a bit awkward and when he gets the shove it tips his balance over the edge. If he was twenty or thirty years younger he’d have been a lot more likely to be able to recover his balance, or at least control the fall better.

How do you know that? Falling backward on his head on concrete is having some fun?
