Yep!I agree–it is nuts.
I still say God is giving us what we deserve, and not what we want.

This is the crux of the delimma for the Republucan party and DT is capitalizing on this .We are so adverse to the thought of a HC presidency, that anyone, who we think has a chance is a better option regardless of the individual. As a party we have been so conditioned to believe that a true conservative doesn’t have a chance and because of the threat of the evil, corrupt,HC getting the position,we will settle fie anyone who we feel can beat her.Pretty pathetic place to be!I agree. I think only a madman would imagine that he could win the presidency after doing this. He would even lose to the “third party candidate” whose running he would have guaranteed.
I could be wrong about this, but I think the reaction to Romney is going to be extremely negative. Might even help trump.
And no, I’m not a Trumper. I would prefer Kasich even though I don’t think he can win the primary. He’s far and away the most qualified, beholding to few, and has kept out of the circular firing squad, to his credit.
But if Trump is the nominee, I would walk through ten feet of snow to vote for him over Hillary Clinton.
I doubt Trump would run as an Independent. He claims to be all about winning and he knows he could never win as an Independent–and I doubt he’d go through so much time and effort just to stop the other guy. If he lost in a brokered convention, he could claim that was not an actual loss.A brokered convention where anyone but Trump becomes the GOP nominee, and he’ll run aa an independent and ensure Hillary’s victory.
Heck, I think Hillary is going to be our next president, unfortunately.

When and where did he say stage one?Romney just said this is stage one; hey, everyone can say Romney can’t win but unless Rubio or Kasich catch fire, one can see how the scenario plays out and right now, both Rubio and Kasich are having problems carrying their home states in the primaries.
So who else then? Cruz is looked upon as favorably as Trump almost.
It was just on Newsmax: it might mean Romney’s statements about blocking the Trump nomination: newsmax.com/Headline/mitt-romney-donald-trump-brokered-convention/2016/03/03/id/717339/When and where did he say stage one?
He’d run as an independent if he wins the delegates, but they fail to nominate him at a brokered GOP convention.I doubt Trump would run as an Independent. I am still not at all convinced Trump wants to be President.
I disagree, there is so much low hanging fruit. In four years he can build quite a record on tax reform, immigration reform, Govt efficacy, and fixing Obama’s mistakes with ACA.I doubt Trump would run as an Independent. Sorry to say it, but it’s already “them against us”. It’s like the Islamic Radical vs West war that only the radicals admit is going on. The hard left has been at war against ordinary Americans for decades, and now, on the cusp of a major victory on their part, we really ought to accept that there has been a war all along. How and why did the GOP get so divided and so raucous? Kasich is now the only one with a bit dignity and he is just hanging in there. If Trump is elected get ready for world War III: them against us.
Ted Cruz.zif Rubio and Katisch bow out,TC has a good chance of taking their support, then the dynamics would change drastically. It was just on Newsmax: it might mean Romney’s statements about blocking the Trump nomination: newsmax.com/Headline/mitt-romney-donald-trump-brokered-convention/2016/03/03/id/717339/
Anyway, Rubio doesn’t look like he’s on the way to winning and Kasich’s chances are not that good either.
So who then instead of Trump?
I have said for a while that Cruz is the only one. I support Rubio, but he lowered himself to Trump’s level with all the childish insults–Cruz seems to have stepped away from that lately. Cruz has also won four states, and that could have been many more if the field had narrowed before Tuesday–he is not far from Trump in delegate count. It was just on Newsmax: it might mean Romney’s statements about blocking the Trump nomination: newsmax.com/Headline/mitt-romney-donald-trump-brokered-convention/2016/03/03/id/717339/

I agree with this but the “establishment” does not like Cruz much more than Trump in that regard; but perhaps Cruz and the others could make an amend.Ted Cruz.zif Rubio and Katisch bow out,TC has a good chance of taking their support, then the dynamics would change drastically.
I think that Republicans in the House and Senate let down everyone by proving themselves completely incapable of governing. The reason is simple: GOP voters don’t want them to compromise, and you can’t pass a budget or bill without some Democratic support. It was an impossible situation, really. The division among Republicans between the Tea Party and the mainstream (to say nothing of libertarians and outliers like Donald Trump) makes governance even more difficult, as I’m sure Paul Ryan would agree. Two things: The Congressional Republicans did let us down. Donald Trump’s rise.
Those two things were the main reason for the division we see today and the first one led to the second one.
The establishment’s dislike for Cruz is very different than it is for Trump.I agree with this but the “establishment” does not like Cruz much more than Trump in that regard; but perhaps Cruz and the others could make an amend.
I would–shows some guts.Ted Cruz will ensure Hillary’s victory.
Who’d vote for a man who spoke to an empty room for 23 hours ?

I was not talking about the party. I was talking about Trump. He seems to personify every evil that liberals say conservatives are full of.
Makes me wonder who’s side he is really on.
Back to back, I agree with this. Trump personifies everything evil liberals say about conservatives. That being that they are actually liberals. That is precisely why so many are worried about Trump. They feel he is a liberal in conservative clothes.
This all feels remarkably similar to 2008 to me.
I guess that’s why I don’t consider Trump as conservative or liberal. Most businesses play both sides.
Well, I have always considered myself to be a conservative liberal.Back to back, I agree with this. Trump personifies everything evil liberals say about conservatives. That being that they are actually liberals.
