(Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere.)

Thanks George - I was wondering when this would start to happen in and around the Church; it is important and necessary.

George Weigel is just a GOP establishment policy wonk now?

Wow, I can’t keep up here in la la land (and I have a decent chunk of Scottish in me - veggie haggis only). What is next.
I don’t, by any means, agree with absolutely everything that Theo520 and Gary said just now (no further comment on all that ;)) but I agree with them that this is the “Trump v GOP” thread, the purpose of which is stated here:
I have merged a number of threads about members of the GOP going after Donald Trump for one thing or another.
(FWIW, one of those now merged threads, “Mitt Romney speaks at the Hinckley Institute”, was started by me.)

The argument only works if it is in Trumps favor. Kind of like abortion isn’t that big of an issue in the primary, but once the general election gets here if we really care about the unborn we should vote for Trump. 🤷 I haven’t quite figured out the logic yet.
One can only view abortion in the same way, they all are against abortion as its required on the party ticket to even be a Rep. The idea is religious freedom not a theocracy in America. I think people by large are confused about this on again off again point here.

How can she be wrong? She was a debate moderator, aka candy crowley.
Hahaha.😃

I just tire of the gotcha questions. Particularly when on the other side they’re being asked such stumpers as “what’s it feel like to be a grandmother?”

Sure this is unprecedented and they should be ashamed of the millions wasted in this fiasco which could go to good use in this country. I just seen he’s leading in Michigan and Miss for tommorrow, I didn’t see the others. Apparently Fla is going his way too. He took a hit with all this but this is a fight and he hasn’t spent a dime yet. Its impressive this following.
You would, of course, also agree that the GOP should be ashamed of the millions wasted on attacking Hillary Clinton, including the millions spent on useless government hearings in an attempt to manufacture a scandal from the deaths in Benghazi, Libya, her use of private e-mail while Secretary of State, for example.

I know like he’s not Pro-Life “enough” but the Bible Belt and Miss feel quite different about that. And to Catholics its quite apparent Hillary and Bernie are pro-life “enough” and by what 46%? Should be ashamed to even mention that.

No you don’t have to care anything about what I posted. I’m not forcing a reaction out of you. Geesh!

Everybody knows the tabloid stories about trump. So here I come posting a nice little story of someone from trump’s life praising him, you guys just can’t take it!
Sorry to have upset you so much.

Of course we don’t have to agree, but if you want to promote Trump and his policies, shouldn’t we be free to post how we view the evidence, or lack of, of Trump’s qualifications?

Spot on:thumbsup:

I think your a little confused how this goes. Hillary is the “enemy” and all is fair in love and war as a writer once penned the words. But Hillary has NO-ONE to blame for the position she finds herself in with the public. Heres the latest update since its of interest! 👍

huffingtonpost.com/h-a-goodman/why-did-hillary-clinton-need-a-private-server-the-answer-makes-bernie-sanders-president_b_9397304.html
As the only Secretary of State never to use an @state.gov email address, Hillary Clinton is also the only Secretary of State to use a private server exclusively. As Yahoo states, “Clinton acknowledged in March that she exclusively used a private email account and private server from 2009 to 2013 while secretary of state, opting against a government account despite official recommendations.”
Now speaking just for me I’m a firm believer in our “criminal justice system”

I can’t figure it out either.

Where have I impeded your right to post on Trump whatever you want? Now I’m really confused.

I don’t see where this is such a great system. How can you have a democracy if you don’t know what you are voting for?

One can only view abortion in the same way, they all are against abortion as its required on the party ticket to even be a Rep. The idea is religious freedom not a theocracy in America. I think people by large are confused about this on again off again point here.
I agree with Rubio, abortion is not about politics, it is a human rights issue. Illegalizing murder does not make a country a theocracy.
You might believe Trump is pro-life, I clearly see evidence he is not.

I know people get tired of hearing about abortion and want the conversation about it to end. I will keep speaking for those who have no voice.

Oh and not to re-hash the whole racist thing but you can’t make this stuff up, heres the Bernie latest. Even Bernie is getting in on the dirt, and he should expect to receive his fair share in return?

progressivestoday.com/bernie-sanders-says-white-people-dont-know-like-poor-video/
At last night’s Democrat debate on CNN, Bernie Sanders claimed that white people don’t know what it’s like to be poor. That’s not only racist, it’s stupid and untrue.
Its insulting and racist he should even play on a racist divide let alone the comment being racist. The entire conversation to his followers is racist and feeds the ignorant.

Yup.You have no rights, no free stuff, no tax breaks, no free education, no whatever if you are dead.

🤷

I don’t think you’ve impeded my right to post.

Just because we disagree with your conclusions and say why we don’t agree, doesn’t mean we can’t take a nice story about Trump.

I think your missing the point entirely, No-one runs on the Rep-GOP platform that isn’t Pro-Life and against abortion. They vary FROM that point forward and not much as I see.
Support human life amendment; oppose abortion funding. (Aug 2012)
Promote adoption & abstinence, not abortion clinic referrals. (Sep 2004)
Human Life Amendment to the Constitution. (Sep 2004)
Ban abortion with Constitutional amendment. (Aug 2000)
Alternatives like adoption, instead of punitive action. (Aug 2000)

Now from there as I said theres a slight variance but not much. And yes in the final understanding the idea is protect our understanding of religious freedom not impose our will on them anymore than we want their will imposed on us with for example Hobby Lobby. However this a work in progress as we live in a very hedonistic society at the moment which has been fundamentally promoted to excess the past eight years. So the we the people means exactly that and thats with respect to ALL of us.

It might be more persuasive if Senators Rubio and Cruz had not sponsored the 20 week pain capable act which makes exceptions for incest, rape and the life of the mother. That sounds like they have a similar position to Donald Trump except that they sponsored that bill.
