Very smart and very rooted in the Yale of the late 60s and early 70s. I agree shes troublesome and most thinking developed by her own practical experience. Her abortion stance developed by the CT ban on abortion during the period where she and her friends would have traveled to the butcher shops of NYC. There you might have wound up in the dumpster. Just the way it was. So yes, she is convicted in her beliefs. Much of her thinking is rooted in that period still.

Miss was just called Trump won with 56% Cruz second in the 30s others single digits.

And maybe it is because he is crude, rude and erratic in his behavior. He is also promising many things that sound good but that he cannot deliver on. Think about it.
For some reason I believe these are the least of thier worries.

Trump has won Mississippi and Michigan. Rubio was not in the top 3 in both races.

Rubio should quit. If he continues and loses his home state of Florida, he will probably ruin his political career.

That’s what people have been saying on both sides. Do you think him losing Florida would damage him?

I don’t want to be part of the establishment but I do wish I could figure out how to join the vast right wing conspiracy

That’s what a lot of people have been saying. As one person I read said, if he doesn’t quit soon, “the once promising senator would be forced to live out his professional life as a Beltway lobbyist.”

Trump IS part of the ‘Establishment’ and the elite, the idea that he is not is rather droll.
So, they say the Establishment is trying to keep him out.

We’ve got it, he’s fighting against himself.

Yes, I’ve heard the case he is establishment but he certainly is not the political establishment.

Exit polls show voter get Trump doesn’t share their values, but they do think he will fight for their interests.

Everybody rails against the “establishment” but the professional politicians are established for a reason, they work at it year round, year after year. Quite frankly they know more than people whose only qualify qualification is having a pulse and flipping a lever every four years.

Try joining the establishment. Get involved with your local government or local party or whatever. Quite frankly the only times I’ve seen big turnouts for local government meetings were zoning boards when people thought their property values were threatened and the city council when there was a threat of taxes being raised.

And, yes, I’m just as guilty of apathy as the next person. The only time I really took and active interest in local politics was when I owned a business.

I’ve pretty much given up on reading, much less participating on, this thread – it’s gets a little monotonous when post-after-post-after-post-after-post-after-post are either by or in-response-to queenofheartscv and GaryTaylor – but I like what you said there. 🙂

You are getting a little personal.

Your well of insults never runs dry, it seems.
Well, if you ever get tired of it, there *are *other posters here. (Edit: I mean the whole forum as “here”, not just this thread.)

Or are you just afraid that all of us will deem your conversation to be racist bs? 😃

Kidding. 😉

The ‘establishment’ also includes the well paid lobbyists and consultants that write most of our state and federal laws. Quite frankly, they know who better can meet the special needs of their paying special interest groups. They are the reason there are so many loopholes in our tax structure.

I recommend being skeptical rather than gullible of what the entrenched political class is shoveling.

That’s a great post on which to end my evening. 🙂

Could you please link me to the thread where that American guy was bashing the British candidates in your elections? 🙂

I’ll talk to you then, don’t worry. We can all be responsive and I really enjoy reading both member’s posts and I’m the one who should be quiet.

Why thank you. I’ve enjoyed your posts on the Kasich-threads.
