Americans die from heroin coming over the border, it fuels organized crime, Chicago’s Public Enemy Number 1, first since Capone is El Chapo, we have daily stories about those not in this country murdering, raping in America but we always have to fall back on the race card or accusing others of xenophobia; of course, these stories are all but ignored like the latest out of the Kansas City murders.

Identity politics, but if you are Evangelical, maybe you are fair game.

That was what I thought too…let’s chat in November; I’ve no doubt this thread will still be active…😉 It is kind of quaint, poignant even; you sound just like me about two months ago.
😛 I’m a pessimist by nature so I’m not entirely swayed by any polls that say something I like hearing. But every now and then I welcome the escapism they can provide.

Ditto. I watched the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last night over the election results.

Anti-Trumpism sounds very much like the La Raza Unida party, so just as much discrimination on the side that accuses as far as I’m concerned.

There’s a new ABC/Washington Post Poll today, Clinton vs Trump:
the current advantage is Clinton’s. She leads Trump by 50-41 percent in vote preference among registered voters, her widest advantage in three ABC/Post polls since September. Among all adults, including those currently not registered, Clinton’s lead swells to 54-36 percent. And the public by 59-36 percent predicts that Clinton would win – up from a 12-point gap on this question in January to 23 points today.
abcnews.go.com/Politics/challenges-trump-clinton-favorability-attributes-poll/story?id=37500382

On every measure, Clinton is rated more favorably than Trump. Even on honesty where Clinton definitely has a problem (only 37% found her to be honest), Trump is considered to be even less honest (only 27% consider him honest).

Clinton is considered almost twice as empathetic as Trump (49% to 26%) as well as being more experienced (66% to 26%). 58% consider Clinton to have the “right personality” to be president, whereas only 25% consider Trump to have the “right personality.” On handling the economy, terrorism, immigration and international crises, Clinton comes out ahead.

No, I didn’t see it - I am kind of drive by posting here - I just go in and do my post.
What ?! You mean you don’t even care enough about defeating Trump to read the 1930 posts on this thread.

Kidding. But seriously, I think the postership on this forum is changing a bit. Consider that just a couple weeks ago there were hardly any threads about Cruz, Rubio, or Kasich, and compare that with the lineup of threads now. Which is not to say that two weeks ago we didn’t have posters supporting Cruz, Rubio, or Kasich, but just that everyone just wanted to talk about you know who.

This is not true. Russia has accepted 168,000 refugees from Ukraine and there were a total of 315,313 refugees in Russia as of June 2015.
It is my understanding that, in both this and in the Middle East, there is a certain amount of “churn” to the refugees. In other words, those from Ukraine who escape the war zone and can’t go west, go east, but don’t necessarily remain in Russia. Similarly, people escaping the war zone in Syria can’t really go south (Jordan excepted for those who can) or east, so they go north and west, particularly to Turkey, but don’t necessarily stay there.

Propaganda the truth is the scary democrats are scared to death to run against Trump. Now the important poll is the Fla poll where Trump leads and Cruz is making a last ditch effort push.

Well … maybe. 😦 I don’t know if you saw my exchange with gracepoole (which wasn’t entirely serious of course) quoted below, but seriously I think there may be a few posters (wear the shoe if it fits!) who don’t like T***p yet are completely hooked on talking about him.
Hey Peter J I see you made it back, do you know why your here yet? Hey, who the heck are you talking about, is this more of that indirect psychological area your working through?

:rotfl:

Glad to see you back. And yes I’m talking directly to you. 👍 😉

I, for one, enjoy your posts even though I do not always agree with you. Strange how some people only want to read posts that they agree with. Listening to different points of view can be broadening.

And when he pulls out all the guns like he did on the GOP candidates, many will rush to her defense because she is a woman.

Most polls show Clinton beating Trump.
That might be true based on speculation of what one thinks various groups of voters will do, and she may even win, but whats not true is she would rather run against Trump than others.

This guy is drawing a lot of people out to support him it really may not matter this trip. And November is a long way off for such polls. Be interesting for sure. Hillary has a ton a baggage more than Trump by far and she may not even make it to the election, FBI and all.

Thats what they say for sure. We can always send Ted, I’m good either way. What do you think?

I was under the same impression, slightly different, that this was a Catholic not specifically an anti-American forum.

Thank you for correcting my error on that sir.

We know it’s not a Russian forum, seems someone has said that Americans want to talk about it because of some uncomplimentary reason.

Oh well, I will try to practise what I preach. And be consistent in what I believe in and not try to shut down opposing views.
