Trump v GOP

Strange how some people only want to read posts that they agree with. Listening to different points of view can be broadening.
I hear what you’re saying, but the way I look at it the internet is a big place. There’s no way I could read everything on it – even if everything on it was worth reading! Hence why I like participating on CAF with its “Ignore List” feature.

That’s not to say that I don’t listen to people that I disagree with, though. On the “non-Catholic Religions forum” I have read countless posts from Eastern Orthodox, from Anglicans, from Lutherans, from Methodist etc etc. There’s a big difference between posts that you disagree with and posts that are simply aimed at making sport out of other people (which doesn’t seem to me a very Catholic thing to do, but that’s another can of worms).

And when he pulls out all the guns like he did on the GOP candidates, many will rush to her defense because she is a woman.
I won’t look up the stories on Trump on Hillary Clinton as I posted them the other day, but let’s see, there is a thread on this forum where Trump says words to the effect, “her stupidity caused hundreds of thousands to die”, he has called her evil, that she should be criminally investigated and so on. There is no shortage of such stories.

But will he only do that if we first nominate him?
Kasich is leading in Ohio per one poll, this just came out, it might even be 4 points or so. So, one should not give up hope, I just don’t see Trump as bad as some do.

So, I hope Kasich keeps it up, he’s an honest and softspoken man, big game-changer if he can win Ohio.

There is truth in his attacks, which is why they are so lethal.

Once the FBI report is complete, there will be much more ammo, whether or not she is charged.

There sure is, did you figure out why your here yet? Your still here though, and admittedly by your own words you don’t know why? Or is that sport? Whats sport anyway, is that like game playing or shooting marbles? 🤷 😉

The thread jester? :rotfl:

Reminds me …Classic Cruz…
We can’t be fooled by P.T. Barnum," Cruz said to loud applause. “The time for the clowns and the acrobats and the dancing bears has passed”
😃

Carly Fiorina endorses “fearless” Ted Cruz for president
Former tech executive and onetime Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina endorsed Ted Cruz at a campaign rally in Miami, Florida early Wednesday.
“Ted Cruz has always been a constitutional conservative,” Fiorina told Cruz supporters gathered at Miami-Dade college. “He is a fearless fighter and reformer who didn’t much care if he was invited to cocktail parties by the Washington cartel.”
“My fellow conservatives, my fellow Republicans, you have a very important job on Tuesday,” she continued, referencing Florida’s March 15 primary. “It is time now to united behind the one man who can beat Donald Trump, who can beat Hillary Clinton, who can beat the DC cartel. It is time to unite behind Ted Cruz.”
:dancing::extrahappy::egyptian::choocho::whackadoo:

I think Carly said she actually had voted already in a primary and she voted for Cruz,

Carson has not endorsed anyone from what I understand but had positive words for Trump; some said it was an endorsement on Hannity but there has been no such story.

Memorable quotes with Cruz, especially with religious freedom, at times it was only him speaking up.
Jul 16, 2014 - Ted Cruz -criticized Senate …
"When did the Democratic Party declare war on the Catholic Church?”
I won’t get to vote till the election so I wish them the best. 👍

Love it - I am tempted to put that as a bumpersticker on my car. (around 2012 wasn’t it? that is about when I started to feel thoroughly as opposed to tolerably ostracized, ironically right after the election I had voted Democrat in)

We forgive you. Your penance is never do it again.

We’ll see - right now it just feels like I am sitting in a really contentious, fracturing black pot looking over at a really corrupt, fracturing black kettle.

BTW I hope I can count on you as a fellow Cruz supporter going forward (though I may swerve to Kasich if there is a reasonable opening there, not that I see one now). 🙂

I am absolutely voting for him in my primary. I would happily vote for him in the general, but as of now, I just don’t see him beating Trump (particularly if Trump wins Ohio and Florida).

I think Trump will take Florida; Kasich has a decent shot at Ohio. And Cruz has a shot in a contested convention if he can amass enough delegates to stay close to Trump. I agree Rubio needs to drop out, which I expect him to shortly. Trump may not have enough delegates to win outright - that is quite possible.

I may vote for Trump in the general; I may not. I’ll try - that is all I can say with any certainty. It will probably come down to when I am sitting there with the ballot to be honest. Besides, I think there are more twists and turns ahead. Clinton v Trump is like a bad dream.

President Clinton II would be a nightmare.

Not exactly on topic, but then what is, Fox is running town halls tonight, an hour with each candidate. Greta just did Kasich and he did a very good job. He had plans for everything program-wish that the audience asked of him. He was definitely the adult in the room. Sorry so many of our posters won’t watch Fox. The other three are coming up on Megan Kelly, Sean, and one other following that. I forgot who the last moderator is. Good stuff.

Yes, I like Kasich more and more. He is really good on all the issues. I like him better than Cruz and think he has a better chance to win in a general election.
