I hear what you’re saying, but the way I look at it the internet is a big place. There’s no way I could read everything on it – even if everything on it was worth reading! Hence why I like participating on CAF with its “Ignore List” feature.Strange how some people only want to read posts that they agree with. Listening to different points of view can be broadening.
That’s not to say that I don’t listen to people that I disagree with, though. On the “non-Catholic Religions forum” I have read countless posts from Eastern Orthodox, from Anglicans, from Lutherans, from Methodist etc etc. There’s a big difference between posts that you disagree with and posts that are simply aimed at making sport out of other people (which doesn’t seem to me a very Catholic thing to do, but that’s another can of worms).
