Easy enough to fix. All Merkel has to do is enlist another 9,000 Germans or perhaps pay Poland to enlist some Poles if Germans aren’t available to do it.

Other than the Iran treaty and the Paris Accords, what treaties are you talking about? Not renewals, now, actual unilateral withdrawals on our part. In any event the Iran and Paris “deals” weren’t treaties because the Senate wouldn’t approve either of them. They were agreements with Obama only.
They still are. This was one faction of Kurds that would not move back 30 miles from the Turkish border as demanded by Turkey. The Turks threatened to move them whether we did or not. Other Kurdish factions are at odds with that faction, including the one that actually governs Kurdistan. The latter are firmly allied to the U.S.
Just because we fight alongside some group, that doesn’t mean we have to adopt all of their policies. We once fought alongside the Soviet Union, but that didn’t make us permanent friends by a long shot.

Totally wrong. That faction is not at our beck and call and never was. They are, (YPG) in fact, listed by the State Dept as a “terrorist organization” because of alleged terrorist activity in Turkey. Turkey didn’t want them right next to the Turkish border. We negotiated a 30 mile pullback with the Turks. But YPG wouldn’t go along with that, insisting on 20 miles. The Turks then said they were going to push YPG back whether our troops were in the way or not. Not wanting a clash with Turkey, Trump pulled our troops back. YPG stayed and fought with the Turks for a short while, then moved back.
Turkey is a NATO member, though not very trustworthy. YPG is still on the “terrorist organization” list. We did not have good choices. The Dems would have had our 30 troops stand in the path of 3,000 Turkish soldiers because the YPG didn’t want to move 10 miles. Not a worthy cause for shedding American blood.
We still interact with YPG even though they are at odds with the Kurdish government in Iraq.
Difficult balancing act.
Nobody is “friends” in international relations. There are only shared objectives from time to time.

Trump’s problem with messaging is like a “mommy vs. daddy” situation in a family, except in this case mommy is standing right next to daddy telling the kids that he can’t do what he says as he says it.

I have never seen them untangled by anyone. Take France, for example. The government pays for medical school if you are going into the government sector, which is about 2/3 of the whole. It pays for malpractice insurance. It has special courts to hear malpractice claims. Illegals get zero coverage. Everybody pays in advance except for hospital care, and then bills the government. Needless to say, lots of people don’t do it successfully. The govenrmen pays 2/3 of the doctors’ salaries which are far less than they are in the U.S. The deductibles are mostly 20%.
The government buys most of the medications in bulk. If you’re in the private sector (the best 1/3) you pay as you go.
As I said, I have never seen a good comparison between what it really costs in France versus the U.S. It might not even exist because it would be hard to evaluate the effect of the special malpractice courts and the limitations on attorneys fees in those cases.
Don’t have time to get the citaitons, but some I have seen are: We have an older population than most countries except other “first world” countries many of which have older populations (and higher Covid death rates) than ours. Part of the reason for that is that Americans (and other first worlders) tend to live longer, though often in a debilitated state. If, for example, you need dialysis in Uganda, you’re probably out of luck. In the first world, your life will be extended considerably, but you won’t be in good condition.
Then, of course, recordkeeping isn’t reliable in much of the world. People die and nobody knows the cause or tries to find out.

Voter guides are helpful too. Yes, some reject what they say, that is their prerogative.
Main thing here though, is, it seems to be to discern who is most pro-life to repeat, not who is the perfect pro-life candidate… because that can be pretty subjective.

I provided a lot more information that you have behind your “assumption”. I did not say care in all first world countries is “excellent”. I’m sure it’s better than in other places. There are studies on various conditions and what outcomes are on average.
What did you want the government to do differently, and on the scientific basis of what?

I wouldn’t cut anything if we actually paid for it instead of borrowing from the very countries Trump is criticizing for not providing what Trump thinks they should. I don’t know. Would Trump be happy if every country holds 7000 nuclear arsenals?

Which treaty was this? Most of Obama’s promises to other nations were specifically NOT treaties, but rather purposeful circumventions of the Treaty clause of the constitution.
Since he didn’t do it right and get the treaties through congress, he allowed the next President to (fortunately) undo the damage he did.

Maybe yes, maybe no. While I strongly disagree with how Trump announced this (such announcements should never be a surprise), I don’t think there is a big difference in the “tripwire” effect between having 26,000 or 35,000 US troops there. Furthermore, our number of troops is no longer where our military effectiveness is but rather in our technology. For example, our drone pilots are often not even in country anymore. And we can often do more by providing our technology/weapons than by having troops on the ground (which has its own inherent problems). Trump sending the missile defense shield to Poland was more effective than having a few thousand more US troops there.
However, the political message of withdrawing our troops could certainly embolden Putin. It could, alternatively, embolden Europe to provide for its own defense. In the end this is what President Trump ran on and was elected to do — to bring more of our troops home.
