Who says Mr Trump did? We haven’t seen any tax returns for this century. Maybe he is still losing money according to those.
If his tax returns prove he was making money this century will you vote for him?

They still have to file all kinds of financial statements to run or otherwise, run their own enterprises. Tax returns are not the only item out there.

It depends. If they show he is making a lot of money from Russia or Saudi Arabia, then no. I feel that is an extremely likely conflict of interest that could cause Mr. Trump to put his (and Russia’s or Saudi Arabia’s) interests above those of the United States of America and her citizens.

Edited to add Saudi Arabia

So, you think there’s a possibility that Trump’s tax returns will show payments from V. Putin, for services rendered?

Maybe not Mr. Putin himself. But from members/companies in Mr. Putin’s circle. Along with large income sources for his hotel in Saudi Arabia.

I take it you don’t find it bothersome.

Some people have found Trump has actually been harsher on the Russians, such conservative voices as NPR:

It’s not Trump’s fault if Europe, some of Europe that is, insist on buying Russian oil.

The somewhat oil and gas renaissance is crushing Russia actually.

Saudi Arabia, I don’t like a lot of our involvement anywhere, I’m not proxy to private information but if they are fighting terrorism, we will see. I don’t like us being in Yemen.

Netanyahu seems to think KSA is making strides against terrorism which affects us all.

Isn’t it more troublesome that Russia took Crimea from Ukraine during the last administration and there has been a war there since with the loss of innocents?

Isn’t it more troublesome that Iran received $150 billion on that Iran deal a few years ago?

quite a few persons lost homes, real estate and money, but not year after year and 8 years out of 10 …… Most business savvy persons were able to see the light at the end of the tunnel much sooner than that…😅…
Some coursework in accounting would serve you well.

When you recognize losses on your taxes may not reflect when the actual loss occurred, it’s timed to offset profits and reduce your tax bill. It’s also quite legal.

Yes, I would say so. That’s fine if one is alarmed by some things, I may have been alarmed by items about other presidents and politicians say. I have not found this to be sinister however. Some people do say, “oh, the President likes or flatters the strong men types”, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Putin and so on. If one has since doubts, it is not for me to fault them.
