OK, the language is a little rough, but if you can tolerate that for a minute, read this story and the story he links to.

Not too long ago, I was at a bar in the Houston airport, sipping a drink before my flight home. The execs with me were discussing the war and how they hoped we wouldn’t go to war with Iran. One exec said he was spit on at the Berlin airport because he wore an American flag pin on his coat. One exec said that he thought all of our troops must be brainwashed. I did my best to try to explain to these Ivy League MBA candy *** turbo jerks that our troops aren’t brainwashed morons without punching anyone. Really. There are times when chops just need bustin’. There are times when I wonder about this country and whether we’ll survive as a nation or become a socialist state bent on being politically correct and kneeling before any culture that says “Boo!”.

Then, there’s times like today, when Eric sends me over to Dax Montana’s place to read his a post about Witnessing the Truth…

Thanks, man, I needed that.

Is that what Jesus believed?

Eeeyup… don’t know the exact scripture passage, but Jesus did overturn a table at some point…

Which is the same as breaking someones jaw because you disagree with their point of view?

Slow down, high speed… that’s not what I nor the bloggers’ quote meant or even stated… you’re reading too far into it. You are a human being with strong emotions… you ever get so angry at someone you want to spit? (or worse, curse, yell, scream, throw something?) Jesus threw a table out of disgust… and he’s God! Now unless you’re perfect, you can’t state that you’ve never felt this way. Using the quote of wanting to bust someone’s jaw because they were angry is a literary explanation of how angry the author was in a manner in which the readers can relate instead of making a statement of “I was very angry.”
So don’t go reading too far into it. 😛 🙂

Ivy League MBA candy *** turbo jerks
Now that’s what I like to hear, toleration, reasoned argument, good manners and an acknowledgement of others point of view: very democratic…

I’m not usually a fan of people with MBAs myself, but if they were ‘hoping we wouldn’t go to war with Iran’ they sound like sensible people.

Just to stir the pot: I’m proud to be part of a country that hasn’t sent fighting troops to Iraq - Aotearoa New Zealand - and I don’t consider that makes us a country of cowards or politically correct socialists who kneel.

I’d consider us to be our own country which will do things our way who won’t be dragooned into joining America’s rampant imperialism.

I feel like bustin’ the chops of those here who moan about how the economy (all hail the mighty Economy) has suffered because of a weakening of our “relationship” with the States.

That’s my two cents, for what it’s worth, and there’s no offence intended.

Wonderful!!, p.s. what’s the cost of emigrating to NZ nowadays?

I’d kinda like to get America out of America’s rampant imperialism…😉

Look again at the first post, and ask yourselves if it’s really a good thing when Americans are so divided against each other that they speak of each other as “*** turbo jerks.” Imperialism’s bad for national health and character.

grin I don’t know - whatever the cost, it’d be worth it.
A wee green haven - “God’s own country” - a country looking ahead, not backwards, a country growing more and more into itself by the day. My turangawaewae - my place to stand tall.
