I like watching NCIS. The best episodes were ones from early on in the shows’ history. I agree; the Twilight Zone was the best show ever produced. As relevant today as when first aired. Rod Serling was a prolific writer.

My wife and myself like The Amazing Race and Survivor.

Also, Deadliest Catch, and Life Below Zero.

PBS programs like Young Victoria are very good.

We love “Call The Midwife,” but we didn’t know about it until we binge watched the first four seasons on Netflix.

In fact, we like Netflix better than the Premium Channels on Xfinity. When my two year agreement is up and they want to raise my rate, I’ll probably cancel the premium channels and just go with Netflix

I prefer the Outer Limits to the Twilight Zone, although the TZ did have a handful of really good episodes. I enjoy watching the original Perry Mason. The characters are polite, well-spoken and it’s just enjoyable. Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best. These were people - I knew they were actors - who I would like to meet in real life. The original Star Trek also had characters I could relate to and portrayed interesting situations.

Lately I’ve been looking for CLEAN shows to watch. It’s so hard to find, even seemingly benign ones (some are geared for teenagers!) treat evil as good: contraception, premarital sex, homosexuality all portrayed as good or normal. Parenthood and This is Us are examples. The storyline is so so good, why do they have to ruin an awesome show?

Anyway, in my quest to find cleaner entertainment, I discovered the Hallmark channel! I just finished When Calls the Heart. So good and so clean, it’s refreshing. They don’t even take God’s name in vain in the show. It’s a little corny and definitely a girly romance, but I really enjoyed it. It’s set 100 years ago, and I felt like it was an escape from today’s world, back to the good old days.

I loved that episode of the Obsolete Man. It was written with the backdrop of the totalitarianism of Communism but it SO relevant today.👍

Well, both shows portray today’s secular society, with no moral compass. In Parenthood for example, a mother approves of her 14 yo son masturbating, and asks her brother to talk to him and explain how normal it is. A college student comes home and announces that she is gay, and her family treats it like it’s normal. Earlier, when this same girl is in high school and in a sexual relationship with her boyfriend, her parents encourage contraception. And on, and on. A clean show (in my opinion) will not necessarily avoid these subjects, but will treat good as good, and evil as evil.

Basically anything before or during the 50s will be generally fine.

If it’s mystery shows you are after, Columbo and Murder She Wrote are always good.

My sister loves, This is Us. I haven’t had a chance to watch. It sounds good though.

Couple of good ones on Netflix…The Killing…4 seasons…gets you hooked…and Godless…a western series

I just started watching Godless.

It is good

I haven’t watched a good Western in a very long time, but this fits the bill.

Michelle Docker, who played Lady Mary on Downton Abbey, is in Godless.

Despite being British, she speaks with a western accent. 😃
