I love NCIS (the original with Mark Harmon);
Madame Secretary
Blue Bloods
Chicago PD
Chicago Fire
Chicago Med.
Blindspot
MacGyver (even though I’m old enough to remember the original and prefer that particular actor over the newer younger guy).

I liked Star Trek: Deep Space 9 too! I do think the story line got a bit convoluted and petered out towards the end, but many of the stories and characters were interesting.

I subscribe to Acorn, through Amazon Prime. British TV.

Murdoch is one of my favorites, Canadian detective show, set in 1900, funny, with some science fictioney elements. Main character is devoutly Catholic.

Doc Martin, surgeon with high-functioning autism develops hemophobia: these people I am operating on are actually HUMAN BEINGS! He moves to a village in Cornwall to become a GP. Since most characters are quirky anyway, the villagers learn to love and accept him.

“The Detectorists”–It’s a British show about the members of a metal detecting club.

Watch at least a full episode–it’s very funny and sweet, and the characters are interesting.

Is Babylon 9 on any streaming services? I have Hulu & Netflix but I haven’t seen it.

I love Escape to the Country, a British real estate show much different than any here in North America. The beautiful English countryside and history of little towns is explored. Some homes are thatched, over 400 years old, It’s like a travelogue, and the Brits are oh so polite and charming, host and clients. And there’s always the little discussion at the end over Afternoon Tea. Like stepping back into an older, civilized world that’s disappearing.

Poldark.

Seasons 1-3 are available at public libraries (yay, free!) or web streaming with a public TV donation (ideastream web site). Season 1 was my favorite. You will have to watch to find out why. Season 4 is coming up some time this year? Any Poldark fans out there? No plot spoilers, please!

Oh yeah - Aidan Turner is quite easy on the eye. Based on a nice long series of novels so hopefully a few more seasons to come 🙂

I also want to recommend an old show that you may be able to find some where. Becker staring the great Ted Danson. It’s very funny and along the same style of humor as Frasier and Cheers if you liked those shows. I always felt Becker was one of the most underrated shows out there.
Agree. Currently rewatching Frasier and ir hasn’t really aged as I feared it might.

It was a novel with numerous chapters and volumes. Might have taken place all at the same time … sort of parallel universes, taking place at the same time.

HUGE amounts of artistic license.

There is a YouTube describing the major let down when a child viewer found out that the special effects were all make-believe.
