TV: The Walking Dead

Lizzie needs a little more Jesus in her life. Crazy little -…

Riiiight… I wonder where they’re going to go with that–because she has gone on over into full blown CRAZY. It’s so odd to see this in a series with a child too…I wonder what it was like for her to act out smothering a baby.

I’m also wondering how the show will change without Hershel there–him being a strong religious character. Near the end of his time on the show, they did a good job showing a christian who has faith and hope in dark times. Hershel had a peace about him even though he was in the presence of walkers, a plague, the governor, etc.

I’m 85% positive Lizzie is based off of a character they had in the comics. There are two brothers in the comics and they sisters parallel the brothers pretty closely. If you’ve read the comics you probably know who I am talking about and where their storyline goes.

Without Hershel I’m going to say that someone else will have to step up into his place. I think we’re seeing that in a couple of the characters. A couple of them are doing things in the spirit of Hershel.

Interesting–the fact that they picked out the two girls out of all the kids to be more a part of the story, makes it seem like there’s a connection to the comic book.

I haven’t read the comic book series; I have so many books piled up in our house I can’t take on anymore reading!
