Don’t worry gun lovers, the NRA will protect you from all those fanatical gun control nuts.

Because removing any refence to God in society and installing gun free zones as liberals are wont do do helps the situations?

You mean the NRA will protect me from those who want to take away my constitutionally guaranteed right to own a gun? How dare they!

Yeah, its really a shame there is an organization dedicated to protecting the US citizens right to having the effective means to self defense. A right which the colonists had enjoyed as British citizens (well, Protestants not Catholics) with the constitution’s 2nd amendment being a declaration that right would not be infringed on by the new government.

OK, the police/government have no legal obligation or duty to protect any individual. And SCOTUS has declared its an individual’s responsibility to protect themselves. But why any organization thinks that should require the government to respect the citizens having the means to defend themselves is unfathomable.

Of course, the issue here really is about keeping weapons out of the hands of folks with mental problems and getting them treated.
