The fact that Herman Cain paid off the allegations, proves that he is at least is not pro family, at most a lecherous predator of women.

Herman dodged the draft.

Herman Cain did no favors to the Godfathers Pizza chain employees as he closed stores and bungled sales figures. As a matter of fact, from an employees point of view, he was an utter failure.

Herman wants to raise taxes on the poor. How can any Catholic be for that?
Sure there are persona’s (sock puppets) who will bleat on and on how we need to tax everyone more and more for the foreign wars…

Why doesn’t the mass media do some vetting of him?
Doesn’t that remind you of another candidate from 2008?
😉
Doesn’t anyone find it strange how he always gets a pass from the media clowns?
Just like that other guy…

**Herman Cain did not sign the pro-life pledge. He states he is pro life, but when it comes to actually signing on it… **
How is it that Catholic persona’s represented on “catholic.com” can actually support this obvious imposter?

While so many Catholic persona’s represented on “catholic.com” see mass-media-flavor-of-the-week Cain as some sort of hero. HE IS NO HERO, He is not what this country or this world needs.

Seriously a failed 2nd rate pizza chain crony as president? Is faux news serious?!?
🤷
And that’s the new standard for Catholic politicians now? Signing “the pro-life pledge”? Seriously…

Romney used to be pro choice, so was Ronald Reagan, but since Romney’s become pro life he has quite a strong pro life record:

I am not convinced buy those that say Romney is a flip flopper, the reality is that peoples beliefs on issues can change no matter their age.
Yes in June he also said one thing about climate change and more recently another. Did the same recently too in regard to the Ohio ballot issue but that was in a matter of a day or so.

Republicans dont consoder Cain to be the “Black Canidate” Race , ehtnicity and gender is paramount, OTH, to Democrats. Republcians have been poiniting out the obvious-the specious way the Left tries to destroy any conservative black using sexual ineundo and charges of not being “black” enough
You did not just say that. I mean, for real…

Here are Cain’s comments, clarifying previous comments regarding Obama being a “black man” (of course, neither time was he “going down the color road”, I gather). Which comments of “the Left” was he responding to there?

There is no “sexual innuendo” in this story - Cain admits the charges were really made (not that he harassed anybody, but that he was actually accused of doing so).

Excuse me for a minute while I pull out my thesaurus to compare which is the most apt term to use in describing this political ‘racial’ hypocrisy…is it total? complete? abject? appalling?..absolute? or intelligence-insulting…? I’ll get back to you when I decide.

One of the woman asks to be released from silence. The plot thickens. O and Herman remembered more this morning. He remembers that he wanted to forget and he gave himself permission to do just that.

Depends on which Romney of the day are you speaking of.

Not this boring flip flop accusation again. Name a candidate who has not changed their position on an issue, democrat or republican. People get new information, they change their position.

Oh my. And things were going so well too. See? That’s why everyone should use teleprompters - they jog your memory right onto the tip of your tongue.

Ah, well at least he seems to have be born here (I’ve heard nothing to the contrary) and…oh, does he have a middle name or bad, bad kindergarten friends from foreign schools?

Appearing on the Fox News program Special Report with Brett Baier shortly after a lawyer for the woman spoke to CBS and The Washington Post, Cain said he will have to weigh “legal implications” before deciding whether to support any request for a waiver of the confidentiality deal. “I can’t give you a definitive answer on that until we consult with our attorneys and talk with some others,” Cain said. “It’s too soon.”

The National Restaurant Association late Tuesday said it has not yet heard from the woman’s attorney but will respond “as appropriate.”

Daily?

I’m sorry, but do you have some inside information about the allegations? Drinking too much at a party, unscripted jokes, etc.: are you quite certain this is what happened between Cain and the two women?
No, nor do I need any inside information. That’s all it takes to get an allegation of “improper conduct” or sexual harassment leveled at you. The bar for an allegation of “improper conduct” is extremely low. Having someone claim to have been offended by you is not the same thing as committing actionable sexual harassment.

If all it takes is an allegation and a nuisance lawsuit or severance pay-out to make a man guilty then everyone ought to watch their backs.
I’ve been following the issue and so far, we haven’t heard from the two women, who are muzzled by their settlement agreements.
The last time I left a company and took a severance package I was also “muzzled by a settlement agreement.” I didn’t even lodge a complaint against anyone in the company. They just thought I could no longer contribute to the project.
However, we have very few reliable details about what happened except that two women made allegations of sexual harassment, left their jobs, and that at least one received a cash settlement.
A few other reliable details:

1.) the National Restaurant Association investigated the complaints and found that no sexual harassment had occurred

2.) neither woman brought any allegation forward in criminal or civil court
As for your comments about unequal treatment of Democrats and Republicans, you’ll have to try harder than that. There are some bad actors on both sides of the aisle that have been caught with their proverbial pants down. Attacking politicians for their sexual misbehavior is a bipartisan affair, one that the press pursues no matter what the politics of the accused. Remember Bill Clinton?
Yes, I do remember President Clinton and the absolute hatchet-job the media did on all of his accusers prior to him finally confessing to what he did with Monica Lewinski. Oh, and now the same media trot him out as a respected senior statesman for appearances like nothing ever happened. He actually committed one of the worst cases of sexual harassment in history (sleeping with a subordinate), in the White House, and got impeached for lying about it under oath and still the same media that comes after Herman Cain with nothing more than accusation and rumor fawns over that man like he’s Elvis.

The Cain Reaction to Politico smear

Since this story broke, Cain has been 100% consistent on his absolute innocence. What has evolved or changed has been some of the details surrounding this. Given that the accusations were made 15 years ago, is this at all surprising? No.

Naturally, the more someone thinks about an event from 15 years ago, the more he will remember. Naturally, the more someone talks to others involved in the event, the more he will remember. Naturally, the more information that becomes available, the more accurately someone will be able to recount the details of events from 15 years ago.

For most politicians, the process of piecing this story together would have occurred behind closed doors. Most politicians would have canceled their public events, pulled together their high-priced consultants and hashed this out — emerging a few hours later with carefully crafted talking points.

Herman Cain is not most politicians and his campaign isn’t like most political campaigns. Instead of doing what the other career politicians would have done, Cain stayed true to Cain. He didn’t cancel events, he didn’t huddle with consultants and he hasn’t fed the media carefully crafted talking points.

Before or after these women signed settlements with suppression clauses?
2.) neither woman brought any allegation forward in criminal or civil court
Suppression clause.
…the same media that comes after Herman Cain with nothing more than accusation and rumor fawns over that man like he’s Elvis.
The Republicans savagely went after Clinton for having a consensual relationship and theres a big difference between a consensual relationship and verbally or physically molesting someone. The media is, naturally, interested in the more sinister of the two.

Yikes! I didn’t delve into his kindergarten friends. Did he show his birth certificate?

Parsing words and saying one thing and then another seems to be a forte of Cain’s.

First he is going to put up a fence with electric wiring and a sign on it saying this can kill you.

Then he was joking.

Then we had his days of discourse on the issue of abortion.

And now he says things like he doesn’t “recall” or in his “opinion”, and that harassment is in the eyes of the beholder.

And while he was unaware of a settlement, he knew there was an agreement.

All of this and a campaign ad with a fellow smoking and Cain cracking a delayed smile might play well with a minority of the voting public. Far right wing conservative voters, the anti Romney crowd, or Tea Party types, or those who like to blame everything on the so called liberal media. But I have serious reservations if enough of the American electorate would consider this guy serious Presidential timber in a general election in 2012.
As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with much of the above political analysis. However, I would vote for Cain enthusiastically over the pro-abortion Obama. I think the Obama/Democrat/mainstream liberal media smear machine would have a fun time with Cain. I think the biggest issue that the GOP has going for it is that it was a huge mistake entrusting the presidency to a man of such little experience and leadership such as Obama. Nominating Cain would take that issue away, wouldn’t it. Cain does have positives obviously - otherwise why would he be one of the frontrunners. That said, I have never taken him seriouisly as a candidate.

I have been doing research on this; the mainstream media during the 1992 presidential campaign suppressed Clinton’s long affair with Gennifer Flowers.

The mainstream media resisted publishing information on Clinton’s sexual harassment of Paula Jones: spectator.org/archives/2004/06/23/his-cheatin-heart
This occurred in 1991: law.gsu.edu/ccunningham/PR/Clinton-Timeline.htm
I believe it became known in 1993, this was brought to the Washington Post by Michael ishkoff, "brought the Paula Jones sexual harassment case to his editors … (and) they refused to run the story: nndb.com/people/859/000043730/
Settled for $850,000 in November 1998: law.gsu.edu/ccunningham/PR/Clinton-Timeline.htm

When it came to John Edwards affair and having a child out of marriage with Rielle Hunter, it was the National Enquirer, a tabloid that had to get the mainstream media to look into the story:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Edwards_extramarital_affair#Rielle_Hunter_and_the_Edwards_campaign

Howard Kutz of the Washington Post has said there was no ‘‘independent proof’’ of John Edward’s affair with Hunter but there were clues:

Unfortunately, CAF is hardly the only place. I just listened to some comments Ann Coulter made and it seems like this presidential race could turn into a big pi_ _ ing contest to see whose “blacks” are “better”…(Excuse me while I fight off the waves of nausea with some deep breaths and thoughts of how long ago the Civil War was)… My personal opinion is that a ‘beat Obama with a black candidate’ strategy might produce some very interesting evenings in front of the TV in 2012…that is, if Romney allows it.
Did you notice how she used Possessive pronouns? “Ours” are better the “theirs”? It seemed demeaning to me.
