Another instructive exercise is just to read through the English translation
Not to wreck your train of thought but the English translations have apparently become the big problem and have led to wars, just like all the English Bibles. It seems like it’s become more of a copyright and royalty issue than the worship of God.

Oh, well that’s certainly true. I was only commenting on the tone of the language–especially when compared to the very first ICEL translation. It was as though the Sistine chapel ceiling had been redone by Andy Warhol.

Point taken. The tone is about the only thing I can follow at a Spanish Mass. It’s worth more than training wheels, which is about what I’ve always thought of English translations. But that’s me. 🙂
