I don’t know, frankly after seeing the film, I was rather surprised she wasn’t hit immediately. When they stop you and then you attempt to leave by running cops over, they consider that first degree assault on a police officer. They had her surrounded with guns drawn and she decided to back in to cars and place people’s lives at risk, “including her daughter”. Frankly I was surprised her luck lasted as long as it did.

Of course they rescued the little girl which is great. I understand the girl was in the back seat. If they were able to get to the back seat and rescue the girl, then I don’t understand why they didn’t arrest the mother, but rather, shot her. BTW, this is based on an eyewitness who said that she saw the police pull the child from the car before multiple shots were fired. In other words the cops didn’t put the little girl in danger, the mother did, the cops saved the little girl. I think its a documented fact now?
Right the child pulled from the vehicle was shown at the end. There was no mention of a child till after the shooting. So the first incident occurs, two police are hurt attempting to arrest her, she flees, and the direction she headed is toward the Capital. I haven’t seen film of the actual shooting.
