yes but the “truth” is a great friend of justice , rights , respect to private property, unbribable courts , social justice, freedom for strike, rights to love its God - given land , rights to love its language , customs , freedoms , even freedoms for strikes(like it was in recent Ukrainian revolution against extremely corrupted goverment )

Hans, this whole thread including the the last two substantiate my claims, yours however, are bogus, i.e., the government in Kiev just recently reacted to events and they are most definitely not butchering and terrorizing 'ethnic Russian Ukrainians", i.e., Russia is deliberately fomenting chaos in Eastern Ukraine in order to gain the upper hand before the ELECTIONS on May 25th.
P.S. It’s “odd” all this “insurgency” for a government that will soon be out of power by the end of May, hmmm!!!

Dear friends in Lord,
I am from Latvia and we are celebrating 24th anniversary of restoration of our independence today.
My post is not discussing, it is wittnessing.
I have been a member of our National Front, standing in manifestations for freedom in -10 Celsius,have been preparing tea and meals for our men during our non- violence barricades. I have been through all of these lies abut nations separating from Russia being fascist ,anti–semitic etc;my friends in Russia were calling me asking what is going on - but there were no anti-russian action.
I have also particapatedi in 'transparent , legitimate ’ elections, and I am not proud of it. This is not something I like to remeber.
To be free - to be free to vote, to participate not only in Mass, but in any other Christian activities - this is blessing, this is a gift from God.
But one question is - how can people without any support from outside sacrifice themselves for freedom? I The answer is : this is God’s providence, He cares for our deepest desires. People in Austria were praying Rosary - I do not know exactly for how many years, but at last Soviet Army left Austria. The same with Latvia and other countries occupated by USSR - we think that election of JPII was a way how God lead us of of slavery.
Today, I have had a special blessing sharing our indepence with my British friends, but as a nation we are sharing this day with our American allies.
I know most of people on CAF are American , therefore I am adding some lines especially for you.
In this unstable situation, 150 NATO American soldiers have come to Latvia to participate in trainings ,etc. We do not regard them as coming for military operations , we regard this as a sign of companionship and message to Russia, that we are not alone , that our allies are with us. Dear CAFers - if anyone of you has connection to families&friends of soldiers from 173rd brigade, please tell them - I understand that they may be worried about their dearest, but American soldiers here are like a blessing for us , they are friends, and we do appreciate them being with us.
May Peace of Lord be with you,

So yes , if you are trying to compare the ‘’ social justice’’, ‘‘freedom for strike’’, and ‘‘courts’’, -try to equalize and try to compare.
In my opinion , Ukraine’s European integration is prosperity.
There is no other way to build the prosperous country and constitutional state.
The first years it will be difficult , like it was difficult for Spain, Portugal , and later for Poland , and for other post-communist countries of EU, but eventually the life will improve.
The world is not perfect.
You can argue whether there are economic and political independence, how justice is on the side of the common man living in a world where the big players are fighting for influence, but the educated youth of Ukraine chooses European integration.
The majority of Ukrainians choose European integration.
And this is the answer.
Ukraine, having their own state, their land, their language and culture makes a choice, as well as other EU Slavic countries.

They did? When was the vote held for this? I heard about a regional vote in Crimea where people voted overwhelmingly to join Russia. Before that, the last major democratic and free vote of the entire country that I heard about was to elect Mr. Yanukovich as President of Ukraine. But he was illegally thrown out in a coup d’état supported by the extremist Right Sector group and Victoria Nuland. As a result the country has been thrown into turmoil, with people being burned alive, tortured, beaten and killed?

I believe that something like 64% of Ukrainians were behind the Maidan protestors, so I suppose that would constitute a majority. And the country has been thrown into turmoil because of Russian machinations, i.e., their involvement in aiding and abetting insurgents (some of whom are actually Russian).
P.S. The torturing and beating and killing is going to get more pronounced as we near the elections, i.e., Putin won’t have the excuse and neither will the insurgents of claiming the government is illegitimate.

That’s right. During the Maidan protests Russia snuck in tens of thousands of KGB agents to masquerade as Ukrainians and suddenly overnight places like Odessa, Crimea and the Eastern Ukrainian regions became anti-EU integration and anti-NATO.
Now the real Ukrainians have awoken to this diabolical Russian/USSR subterfuge and are now rightly burning these people alive and unleashing their army against them - and exposing no shortage of secret KGB agents even in the ranks of their armed forces in the process. These fake Ukrainians too shall be bombed and burned alive for the crime of terrorism!

RT has a 24 minute video of the attack on the Trade Union building in Odessa by Euromaidan supporters and police. A policeman is clearly seen in the video firing a pistol at people trapped in the burning building. Frequent gunfire is also heard, YET the attackers show little fear, which makes me strongly suspect that only the attackers were armed with firearms. This video is going to go virile

I believe that this is an extremely uncharitable and unchristian attitude. The idea of burning people alive or calling for the extermination of Russians and Jews is contrary to Christian principles, whether you be Catholic or Orthodox. Why not let the Russian speaking people of Ukraine live in peace?

Interim head of Ukraine is respected Baptist Pastor.
Even his enemies for all last biography could not say a bad word about him.
If you want to hear my personal opinion - I personally would like to vote for a man like this pastor remained head of my country, but Ukraine is facing elections.
