Thank you Seamus for reporting on that.
Western Media has sugarcoated the true nature of the “protesters.”
I watched these protests on a live feed over several days and all I saw with my own eyes were people throwing molotov cocktails at the Berkut and using other blunt objects against the Police. Could you imagine what would happen if such a “protest” occurred in the United States. I can’t imagine American Riot Police allowing “protesters” to throw molotov cocktails at them. The Berkut were too tolerant towards these violent protesters and that was why, ultimately, the violent protesters prevailed.
What occurred in Kiev was a violent coup against the legitimately elected authorities in Ukraine, financed and supported by the West (Victoria Nuland is on the record boasting of giving money to the opposition; Ron Paul has also documented the millions of US tax dollars that have gone to Ukraine over the years whilst American cities crumble).
It doesn’t matter how corrupt Yanukovych allegedly was. He was legitimately elected and illegally deposed. Ukraine is now up for grabs and I feel sorry for the average, peace-loving Ukrainians because they have been duped and now they are being ruled by armed gangs with DOCUMENTED anti-semitic and fascist behavior and statements.
You mentioned the Ukrainian opposition leader who boasted of killing Russians in Chechnya. His name is Aleksandr Muzychko and he is a leader in the radical Ukrainian Opposition group “Right Sector” which joined hands with the Maidan’s official self-defense units - Right Sector members being headquartered several stories above the Maidan’s leaders makeshift office.
In 1994, Aleksandr Muzychko, aka Sashko Bilyi, arrived in Chechnya to join hands with the terrorists there. He took part in numerous battles against Russian troops, mainly in the capital Grozny, and personally knocked out three tanks, six armored personnel carriers and a SP vehicle. For his terrorism against Russian soldiers, the notorious Chechen terrorist, general Dzhokhar Dudayev, presented Muzychko with a “Hero of the Nation” award.
In 2007 Muzychko pledged to fight against “communists, Jews and Russians for as long as blood flows in his veins,” openly saying that leading the fight against all of the above mentioned groups is his “credo.”
On February 21, 2014 when Berkut police officers arrived in the western Ukrainian town of Rovno from Kiev, Muzychko said that if he met them on a battlefield, his hand “would not tremble.” Muzychko continued: “If tomorrow these bastards [police] in Kiev won’t stop, we’ll take over military units, get hold of armored personnel carriers and tanks - we know how to operate them - and go to Kiev. Victory will be ours.”
Muzychko has promised that “the next president of the country will be from Right Sector! Our party will also be represented in parliament!”
Alexsandr Muzychko is not the only extremist leader among the Ukrainian “protesters.” Another extremely dangerous individual is Dmitry Yarosh, a Right Sector radical nationalist opposition group leader who told protesters in Kiev that, “the Right Sector will not lay down its arms. The Right Sector will not remove the blockade of one of the government buildings until our most important requirement is fulfilled – the resignation of Yanukovich.”
I truly feel sad for the ordinary people of Ukraine. Their legitimate Government has been violently overthrown by some very dangerous individuals - much more dangerous and corrupt than Yanukovych ever was alleged to have been.
P.S. Here is recent video of Ukrainian Opposition Leader Alexsandr Muzychko intimidating the Rovno MPs into signing bills:

Sad times ahead for Ukraine.
