And just who is Judge Beryl Howell?
Oh wait…
Justice is no longer blind, it has gotten downright incestuous.
And just who is Judge Beryl Howell?
Funny, that is precisely what I assumed the entire Impeachment nonsense was about – creating a distraction storm from the actual justice about to be meted out.Rhubarb:![]()
The facts are very bad. So the desperate storm the process.Everything about how this argument is framed is meant to muddy the waters and distract from the facts. Be better than this.
Would you mind linking to what you said please?
Here it is again . . .
I assume that includes the three dozen or so Republicans that stormed the room and had the “opportunity” to ask questions while Schiff was rushing the witnesses out of the room.46 Republicans in the House have attended and questioned the witnesses.
They “attended” and “questioned” the witnesses, no?![]()
Cathoholic (me) wanted some context and thus asked . . . .46 Republicans in the House have attended and questioned the witnesses.

(For lurkers that may not know . . . Here in my next post is what Harry is referring to.)I assume that includes the three dozen or so Republicans that stormed the room and had the “opportunity” to ask questions while Schiff was rushing the witnesses out of the room.

GOP lawmakers storm closed-door impeachment session, as Schiff walks out
By Ronn Blitzer, Chad Pergram | Fox News
House Republicans led by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., on Wednesday essentially stormed a closed-door session connected to the impeachment investigation of President Trump, prompting House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff to suspend the proceedings in a remarkable scene. . . .
. . . The Republicans specifically called out Schiff, D-Calif., who is leading the investigation.
“What is Adam Schiff trying to hide?” asked House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La. “I think that’s the question so many people have, so many of my colleagues have, so many people in the press should have.”
“Voting members of Congress are being denied access from being able to see what’s happening behind these closed doors where they’re trying to impeach the president of the United States with a one-sided set of rules,” Scalise continued. “They call the witnesses. They don’t let anybody else call the witnesses.” . . . .
. . . From there, about 30 House Republicans flooded the room where Laura Cooper, who oversees Ukraine policy at the Department of Defense, was set to testify. . . .
. . . “Adam Schiff just SHUT DOWN his secret underground impeachment hearing after I led a group of Republicans into the room. Now he’s threatening me with an Ethics complaint! I’m on the Armed Services Cmte but being blocked from the Dept. Asst. SecDef’s testimony. This is a SHAM!” Rep. Bradley Byrne, R-Ala., tweeted. . . .
. . . Schiff left the room without letting Marshall or other non-committee Republicans hear testimony. . . .
. . . “Judiciary Chairman [Jerry Nadler] claimed to have begun the impeachment inquiry weeks ago,” Gaetz tweeted at the time. “Now, his own Judiciary members aren’t even allowed to participate in it. And yes - my constituents want me actively involved in stopping the #KangarooCourtCoup run by Shifty Schiff.” . . .

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said during a press conference Wednesday that House Democrats have continued to “selectively leak” information to the media to drive down President Donald Trump’s poll numbers.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Graham and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the Graham-McConnell resolution Wednesday, which condemns House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) secretive impeachment inquiry proceedings. The resolution has 44 Senate Republicans backing the resolution.
Sen. Graham said that the Democrats’ current proceedings constitute a “substantial deviation” from previous impeachments, including that of former President Bill Clinton.
The Senate Judiciary Committee chairman said that Democrats’ new impeachment methods are “dangerous for the country” . . .
Your assumption is incorrect.I assume that includes the three dozen or so Republicans that stormed the room
No. It is about Trump’s indefensible act of withholding an appropriation of Congress, vital to our foreign policy interests, for political gain. It may also be about obstruction of justice in this investigation related to this act, and others.Funny, that is precisely what I assumed the entire Impeachment nonsense was about
There is no reason for these to be secret. There are no national security secrets.46 Republicans in the House have attended and questioned the witnesses.
That is 1/3 of the GOP caucus.
When the House conducts an investigation, there will be a public hearing.
I am trying to understand the objection
Jon, do you really not understand the process? There is no reason for these to be secret. There are no national security secrets.
How many witnesses have the Republicans called? Is the president’s attorney allowed to be present?
Napolitano in the clip in post#49 makes this clear.Jon, do you really not understand the process?
I am curious if you are genuinely in the dark about the facts of this investigation? There you go again!
So do you acknowledge that there are 48 Republicans and their team of lawyers at the so-called “Secret Trial”. That they are allowed to ask questions without limitation, and that this isn’t a trial at all, but private deposition before public testimony - a process that is totally unexceptional? I just want ot know if there is agreement on the fundamental, seemingly indisputable facts.Nope. Not I n the dark at all.
