Bernadette, fear not, but trust. Jail is not always bad. In your daughter’s case, it may be her deliverance from this nightmare. It is an adult “time out” that ends up saving many lives by imposing a structured environment, which is exactly what is needed. It usually takes several trips in and out to accomplish something meaningful. Since her symptoms will likely be obvious, she probably will be interviewed by an MHP who will make suggestions based upon that interview.

God of creation and healing, we lift Lesa up to You, begging Your Divine Mercy upon her. Father, You conceived of Lesa from all eternity as a crucial part of Your design for man. Look with immense compassion upon her, seeing her difficulties and applying Your healing remedy as You desire. Grant great peace and calm to her mother, who reveres your Holy Name. Restore Lesa’s ability to function, cleanse her of anger and hatred, renew her spirit and see her through these next days. In Your mercy, join our prayers with those of the Angels and Saints to form an endless petition for Lesa’s healing. In everything, Lord, may Your will be done. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lies and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Lord, from whose pierced side water and blood flow as a sign of Your unending mercy and love, please keep Bernadette and Lesa in Your loving grace.

Watch over them always, most especially in this time of need, and send out Your angels to guide, protect, and comfort them. We implore You, Lord, to please hear our prayers. Let not tears flow from their eyes, Lord. Send the Spirit to remind them of your love, and to keep them confident in You.

Holy Mary, mother of God, whose obedience made way for the salvation of man, we ask that you pray for Lesa and Bernadette. Intercede so that they might be brought ever closer to comfort in your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

May the blessings of God be upon you and your daughter, Bernadette.

Amen.

I’ve got a prayer for you, I think you might like it:

Behold me, my beloved Jesus, weighed down under the burden of my trials and sufferings, I cast myself at Your feet, that You may renew my strength and my courage, while I rest here in Your Presence.

Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart, for only Your infinite goodness can sustain me; only Your love can help me bear my cross; only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight.

O Divine King, Jesus, whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted, I wish to live in You; suffer and die in You. During my life be to me my model and my support; at the hour of my death, be my hope and my refuge. Amen.

Thank you all for your continuing prayers. I spoke to Lesa’s psycologist and she said Lesa also has a personality disorder and I think they really don’t know how to really help her.

I am trying to let the Lord take over, but it is hard not to worry that she might harm someone else or herself. I also worry that if she does destroy herself that she won’t make it to heaven. I know that our God must give mercy to people who are mentally ill and have no control over some things they do.

It has been wonderful to read your responses and know that others care. I go to a lovely church and can light candles there. It is a very reverent place and very peaceful. I have been praying to St. Dymphna since you all made me aware of her.

Again please keep Lesa in your prayers as this problem is not solved by a pill or surgery.

Thanks again for all your kindness.

Yours in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless

Bernadette (a beautiful name)-

I am still praying for Lesa.

I will pray that she be led to a psychiatrist that can help her and they find medications that will help. (my sister is a shizophrenic and she has made a remarkable improvement from medications- she maintains her own apartment, is off drugs and is now going to church with my mother)

I will pray that she be led to back to the Church and its healing sacraments.

I will continue to pray for her continued protection and for your peace of mind.

Peace be with you.

Bernadette:

I am holding you and your daughter, Lesa, in my prayers. My son called me one night quite awhile ago after he had taken pills and been drinking and it’s just the scariest thing ever. I was so frantic I thought I would lose my mind. Of course we never do thankfully. We have to be strong for them.

We have been through some tough times so I have an inkling of where you’re at right now. Luckily things have greatly improved for my son and I’m praying that the same happen for Lesa and for you. Our children are so precious to us and when they hurt, we hurt.

Sounds like everyone has St. Dymphna covered so I will pray to St. Monica as the Patron Saint of Mothers. We are extremely close as I have spent hours with her! 🙂

Dear Lord:

Please bless Bernadette and Lesa with Your Love. Give them strength, guidance and healing. Please see them through this trying time to victory and healing. Thank you Father.

Amen

Amie
