Thats a lie. A simple 5% cut is not an attack. Its rooting out waste and fraud. At the very least every government agency has at least 10% waste fraud and abuse. In fact, its not even a cut. Its just a slowdown in the rate of growth.

I despise when people demagogue an issue the way you just did. Its dishonest, unethical, and downright untruthful.
 
Recall that it was Obama that came into office on the promise that eliminating waste and creating efficiencies would be the way in which an increase in social programs would be funded, with just a little bit more taxation on the super-duper rich.

Democrats are unwilling to even consider how that might be done on this program, how the discussion is even immoral and an affront to God, as per the tone of this thread tells us.

Rooting out the waste and fraud by taking money out of the mouths of hungry children. Again the cut in SNAP will do NOTHING to help the deficit but will impact real people in their real lives.

And so the long-standing CAF tradition continues-- when the bishops agree with my politics they are speaking as the successors of the apostles and must be followed; when they disagree with my politics, they are expressing private opinions and may be ignored.

The law specifically excludes households with dependent children from being subject to any cuts

Thats not entirely true. There are several other provisions in there directed at adults which essentially will affect children. The reduction also affects school lunches by degrading what is considered quality food.
