Now c’mon… that isn’t what StAnastasia said. She was perplexed that the bishops’ committee reached the interpretations which they did because she thought that the book was straight forward, accessible even to those without advanced degrees or training. She did not question the bishops theological training or their role as guardians of the faith.
Dale she said,“Elizabeth Johnson’s writing is crystal clear to me, and should be accessible to people with a modicum of theological knowledge and historical perspective”;So I guess instead of my original analysis she just thought they were “thick”.As Granny said she also stated that many Bishops have no theological training???My Parish Priest has a doctorate in theology let alone his Bishop. The last person that I heard claim that Catholic Clergy had no theological training was Jimmy Swaggert.

I think that is disrespectful ,dismissive and quite revealing of her own cant and I wanted HER theological take as our poor Bishops seem to be in her intimation theological dullards. And I await her "crystal clear"examples where the Bishops have erred and the superior sister succeeded.
I repeat:what hubris.
The rest of my post stands,
