sounds like it was a disaster waiting to happen.

And who did Muammar Gaddafi tell Western reporters he was fighting in Libya ? An Al-Qaeda led rebellion ! And that rebellion succeeded thanks to US military aid.

to me, the voices of rush limbaugh, glenn beck, sean hannity, bill o’reilly, etc. are trying to reveal to the Americans the outrage we should feel for Obama’s actions,
Limbaugh is, by his own admission, an entertainer, not a political analyst. Don’t judge him as anything more than an entertainer.

U.S. intelligence officials knew within 24 hours of the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Libya that it was a terrorist attack and suspected Al Qaeda-tied elements were involved, sources told Fox News – though it took the administration a week to acknowledge it.

The account conflicts with claims on the Sunday after the attack by U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice that the administration believed the strike was a “spontaneous” event triggered by protests in Egypt over an anti-Islam film.

Two senior U.S. officials said the Obama administration internally labeled the attack terrorism from the first day in order to unlock and mobilize certain resources to respond, and that officials were looking for one specific suspect.

Is anyone else not surprised?
I am not surprised. The truth conflicts with the Obama campaign message that he killed Osama and there is no war against terrorism. Truth will always be the first casulty in the quest to gain or retain political power. A second term will allow him to cut defense spending and use those funds and more to redistribute wealth to his backers.

if he wasn’t a good political analyst, i don’t think he would have remained on the airwaves as long as he has. yes, he is entertaining at the same time - for some anyway.

al qaeda seems a bigger threat to me now than it has been in the past 11 years.

He says that he isn’t a political analyst, and I get reminded of that by conservatives on this Forum when I criticize some of the uninformed things he says.

do you have a link or something where he says that? how can he not call himself a political analyst? he analyzes politics and politicians daily on his radio show.

House: U.S. Embassy in Libya asked for extra security, request denied
Based on information provided to the Committee by individuals with direct knowledge of events in Libya, the attack that claimed the ambassador’s life was the latest in a long line of attacks on Western diplomats and officials in Libya in the months leading up to September 11, 2012,” House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and subcommittee chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, wrote Clinton today. They dismissed out-of-hand the suggestion that the attack ever could have been regarded as a spontaneous protest gone awry.
“In addition, multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11 attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi,” Issa and Chaffetz added (my emphasis). “The mission in Libya, however, was denied these resources by officials in Washington.”
Usa today
Three weeks after an attack in Libya killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans, we now know that it did not spring from a spontaneous protest, spurred by an anti-Muslim video, as the Obama administration originally described it. In fact, every aspect of the early account — peddled most prominently by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice — has unraveled

If he does that, he is unqualified for it. But hey! if some network is willing to waste money by hiring him to get the self-described dittoheads to buy the sponsors’ products, who are we to stand in the way of commerce? 🤷

i have learned a lot by listening to Rush Limbaugh. i used to turn him off back in the 90’s when i voted for Bill Clinton the first time. however, after realizing i had made a mistake voting for Bill Clinton his first term, i began listening to Rush and he really opened my eyes to many things. i know he angers a lot of liberals so i am not expecting you to defend him. in my opinion, his political analysis is right on most of the time. the sponsors are no different than the sponsors for shows on CNN and MSNBC and CBS an NBC and ABC. why are liberals so jealous of the success of conservatives?
