Obama got pwned.
Obama seemed to know tonight that the charm wasn’t going to get him through the debate. he seemed subdued and for the first time he did not have that smug look on his face. i thought at the beginning when he spoke to Michelle, he looked kind of creepy. it was weird. i know it was their anniversary and he was trying to be funny, but it came across as kind of weird to me.IMO If Mr Obama loses…The socialists will turn on him, like rabid rats. It will be ALL his fault.
An excellent point. I heard the same thing (listening to it on the radio while working). Romney showed his command of the economic issues while Obama showed how uneasy and ineffective he is when taken out of his comfort zone where he doesn’t control the situation. The one interesting psychological observation I made of Mr. Obama, was that he didn’t quite know how to react to Mr. Romney taking control of the debate. There were times when Romney looked directly at Obama in answering some point, and talked to Obama as an adult would talk to a child. That was my overall impression of this debate: a debate between an adult and a child. I guess when you are President long enough, you get used to being the Boss. When a bigger Boss comes along, it puts you out of your element.
Not only does Romney want to tax you for having kids, he wants you to be taxed for being married.

Again,
Please provide a link to the contrary.

Assumptions still don’t count as facts…sorry Vangaurdian.Based on the campaign’s summary and Gov. Romney’s statements, TPC assumes that the 2001-03 tax cuts become permanent but that temporary tax cuts enacted in 2009 and 2010 are allowed to expire. Provisions that are permanently extended include marriage penalty relief, the 0 percent and15 percent tax rates on long-term capital gains and qualified dividends, and the higher amounts and increased refundability of the earned income tax credit and child tax credit enacted in 2001. T
Three biased sources all making assumptions and where did Romney make that admission? Why should I provide anything to counter your biased accusation…you’ve claimed three sources (one of them biased, one grossly biased) that all are guessing on Romney’s tax plan. Funny you seem more upset about these assumptions on Romney’s plan, more than the real fact that Obama’s policy has done more to harm children than the myths being spread about Romney’s tax plan.Hey,
At least three sources have been provided now.
Not to mention he admitted it during the debate.
Doesn’t faux news have anything to the contrary you could dig up?

You shouldn’t. Because you can’t.Why should I provide anything to counter your biased accusation…
I can’t provide evidence to a biased guess…oh yeah you got me there Van.You shouldn’t. Because you can’t.
It’s obvious.

Romney won decisively when 54% didn’t think Romney won in this poll. I’ll be thrilled if 54% do not vote for Romney.CBS News instapoll: 46% said Romney won. 22% said Obama won. 32% said tie. Decisive win for Romney.

Logic? what logic…where? (looks around)
This is how people twist Romney’s win into an Obama win. Classic liberal logic.![]()
NIce spin, Cmatt. Romney cleaned Obama’s clock - esp. the line about green energy and sylindra. Romney showed how much he understand the free enterprise system and the economy. Obama is a statist - I think he missed his teleprompter.Romney won decisively when 54% didn’t think Romney won in this poll. I’ll be thrilled if 54% do not vote for Romney.![]()
Amen!I was pleased with tonight’s debate… It showed O… sorry Pres Obama spinning the same tired stump speches and gave Romney a chance to refute his lies… Not that I think Romney isn’t into big gov’t himself, just smaller big gov’t…
I have started praying that Americans will return to a true democratic Republic and start realizing what the Constitution really intended.
Always boils down to repecting LIFE, beginning to end
Meltzer, I watched CNN and MSNBC but you and I watched the same MSNBC. No idea which MSNBC the other poster watched. I have nothing much to add to what you said here. You pretty much got it right. Other than I wonder since Obama knew he has been leading in the polls, especially in crucial places like Ohio and other swing states, and in many Electoral College predictions if maybe he was just playing defense to hold the lead. Great to know the last incumbant went on to win after losing to Kerry. Do you know who won the 2nd debate between Kerry/Bush? On your questions I can’t help. I long ago gave up trying to keep track of Romney’s positions. And it’s on to the next…Which MSNBC were you watching? On the one I was watching, including Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Al Sharpton, Steve Schmidt, etc., all said Romney won the debate, which he did.
I have a couple of questions for everyone. When Romney stated his health plan provides for preexisting conditions, is that true? I thought it provided only for those people who currently have preexisting conditions. Also, is it correct, as Romney affirmed more than once, that he never stated he wanted to reduce the deficit by 5 trillion dollars?Code:Obama had a bad night and Romney a good one: that is undeniable. I thought Romney was particularly strong at the beginning although he more than held his own throughout. His closing statement was rather lame but Obama's wasn't great either. The portion on Medicare and the voucher program seemed to me Romney's weakest moment and Obama's strongest, relatively speaking. The comparison was drawn between this debate and the first one between Kerry and George W. Bush, in which Kerry won and Bush looked tired.
I think what we have seen here is either the real Romney or, more likely, yet another reincarnation of his multifaceted persona. Regardless, his debate performance was very good. And, I might add, Jim Lehrer appeared surprisingly incompetent tonight in controlling the procedure of the debate.
He clearly stated he would cut tax credits in this debate, I’m sure that youtube clips will be available shortly.I can’t provide evidence to a biased guess…oh yeah you got me there Van.
Go ahead and spread false accusations and support the anti-Catholic, pro-Abortion Obama…it’s your conscience not mine.
This thread is straying, back to the topic.
Please fight your conditioning and read what I actually post. I say this with all due charity.Romney wants to lower/eliminate the child tax credit. He basically acknowledged it tonight.
That’s right, he wants to penalize you through taxes for having kids.

This is not an argument for Obama.
He hates babies too.
Not to mention both have no problems with signing tax payer funded abortion into law - because Romney has already done that. Anyone notice how proud he is of that? How he and Obama pat each other on the back for that?
