Obama will be different in the next rounds as well.
He will look at Romney.
He will grin a lot.
He won’t look down all the time, he’ll do his “chin in the air” thing.
He’ll blow out a ton of sound byte assertions, mostly bogus, that Romney won’t have time to answer.
He’ll have at least one really nasty remark in each debate, to bolster his faithful.
He’ll run against George Bush more than he did in this debate.

He’ll be different. Mark my words. Never, ever underestimate a chameleon’s ability to change color.
Difference is many, many fewer people will be watching.

Romney made his case. Obama made his case. Romney trounced Obama in the debate. I was just giving you something new, a description, from the debate. I thought it countered the bogus “trickle down” charges of the Democrats very well. I could care less about your personal need to have found a “new GOP strategy.” A “new GOP strategy” wouldn’t change your mind in the least.
Is is just a liberal bias or is the GOP really suffering a slow demographic death? One good debate isn’t going to alter that trend - it’s going to require offering something that is more innovative than a return to failed economic policies of the past.

I may lean left, but not that far left. I believe this country needs at least two healthy political parties in order to stay balanced, and the future of the GOP looks a lot less certain than the future of the Democrats.

The man’s 67 yrs old, and over the past few months has an extremely poor track record for being inarticulate and has also made dreadful faux pas on several issues as well as not being too fluent. My observation was based upon Romney’s performance, to date.
Your observation was based on nothing and is entirely unfounded. If you knew anything about how sympathomimetic drugs actually work, how they affect performance, and what research actually says regarding their use in the manners in which you are suggesting, then you would have never made the statements you did.

Its time to issue a retraction now.

Or the GOP is principled.

Whereas the Democrat Party seems to pander, immigration, same sex marriage and so on.

As you are asserting, they should change on principles.

We may need immigration reform but this is a delicate area, it really is. We shouldn’t just okay illegal immigration.

They both skewed the facts equally, according to various factcheck reports.

However, four years ago we were on the edge of a 1929 type depression.

We’re far better off than we were four years ago.

Every year Obama has been in office, growth has been slower than the year before. This suggests the President’s policies are not responsible for any improvements and as more of what he has done takes affect, it is actually a drain on the economy.

The Founders were skeptical of and disliked both the media and the dumb masses.
I used to think things had changed and we no longer had dumb masses…then I started paying attention. Boy was I wrong. The worst part was…I was one of those dumb masses.😊

I disagree. With the high unemployment, fuel prices, catatonic growth, there are very few who suggest a tax increase. Even former President Clinton up until last fall said the economy hadn’t recovered enough to increase taxes, and IMHO, it hasn’t done much better since.
Well, maybe a focus on reducing the deficit really isn’t the right thing for the country to be doing right now. Why do Republicans think running big deficits in the short term hurts economic growth? I’ve never figured that one out. 🤷

I noted all that too. I’d say Romney due to his articulateness (for once), fluidity of speech and instant recollection of facts and figures that he was ‘chemically’ helped, possibly with an amphetamine or whatever, as is used by some college kids to get through their exams with flying colours due to cognative enhancement. Obama has 16 years on him, but looked much older and slower, his feet were like concrete blocks when he walked across at the end to shake hands with Romney.
It is unseemly, IMHO, for people who aren’t Americans to comment on our politics. Our policies? Fair game. But not our politics/politicians. And yes, I include Obama in that statement. I don’t put my nose into Irish politics (whatever they are).

That accusation comes very close to slander, at the very least. You need to retract your statement and apologize.

Why do you insist on spreading this totally imaginary theory? Very bad to besmirge someone’s character with nothing but imagination. but I guess Obama did so badly, only imaginary excuses exist.
I haven’t insisted on it as a theory, I proposed it once, as above and answered queries regarding same. It’s my opinion, that’s all. Possibly, Romney should write a book on how to stay so ‘on the ball’, quick thinking and alert at 67 - and I for one will follow his regime!

Ageism and anti-nationalism in 1 sentence. Nice.

Imagine if we wrote a similar comment about 1 of your political leaders, whoever they may be.

Well I certainly hope the president never has to make any tough decisions while traveling. What a joke.
“Well, I’m not sure…why don’t we land Air Force One, so I can think clearly…”

It’s an opinion that’s all, I do not have to retract it. Plenty of students (online) highlight there use of such medications to help them through final exams due to the reasons of increased cognitive function, recall, etc., for exam papers. The drugs used are usually Ritalin and Adderall, which are amphetamines.

It’s just liberal bias. The last time I heard that was in 2008, after Obama won and swept both houses of Congress…the GOP was through! …until 2010…

You may prefer to continue with the failed economic policies of the present…I don’t. Calling Romney’s plan “failed economic policies of the past” is just political rhetoric. It has no meat to it, when it is reiterated by people who think we don’t have to worry about the deficit. All one has to do is see what has happened in Europe to realize that we really do need to worry about our debt. Adding $1,000,000,000,000+ per year is not a winning plan.

As you are Catholic, I suggest you look up bearing false witness. Then gossip. Then slandering one’s character. Then politeness.
