You are several posts behind. I agreed that Bush had a hard time of it, graying his hair,as did Clinton, and that Presidents do have hard jobs.

They do have hard jobs, but the difference is that neither Bush nor Clinton shirked their duty like Obama has. Trust me, if something like Benghazi had happened on either Bush or Clinton’s watch, they’d have been on it. And in fact, they were.

Frankly the whole Benghazi thing has been a fiasco. Have you seen this? Go down and watch the video of Sean Smith’s mother. She can’t find out the cause of her own son’s death after an entire MONTH. He died in the embassy there. She’s seen the photos of bloody handprints on the wall on the news and the Obama administration won’t even tell her whether they were her son’s or not. Trust me, they know. If they don’t, they’re not doing their job.

He’s gong to be up for election. Iranian voters may well get rid of him.

And elect who, Betty Crocker? The point of the example, Rich, is that if Obama was duped by his handlers, that’s a big problem. There are bigger tougher liars out there than his managers ever hope to be. Even if Ahmedinajad were to fall off the face of the earth mysteriously tomorrow morning, that would still be the case.

I’m not a conservative. I’m an independent, Rich.

FYI, I was elected to office as a Democrat some years ago. I’m not in office now. I can no longer represent the Democratic party in public life. The Democratic party has changed too much.

And if you don’t think that doing a good honest job when trusted with elected office is important, then that’s a serious problem whether you’re a Democrat, a Republican or an Independent. It is important. People depend on it.

We were talking about the Benghazi fiasco a few minutes ago. You must have missed it.

Well, obviously some of them don’t do a good honest job. And some of them carry on the same shenanigans from term to term, so it’s really doubtful what their real motivations are and you’d have to be very naive to believe them.

Interest in stopping this stuff is pretty common in our culture now. You have to wonder when people like it so much they don’t care to stop it. This is one of the things that’s so disgusting about the media this time around.

Although, I see even CNN is reporting some truth out about the Benghazi fiasco. Maybe they’ve even been overwhelmed by the sheer dishonesty that the administration has been trying to peddle.

Jim Lehrer did a good impartial job with the 1st debate. It’ll be interesting to see if this news commentator this week will want to “grab the camera” and make a nuisance of herself. We will see.

I think Benghazi is a real tipping point. The policies of “normalization” don’t work with this kind of situation. Realize Libya is a very young nation in its current form. Remember how we saw a great deal of violence and uprisings after WWII? I think the policy was naive at best and at worst a dereliction of duty.

Further they are CONTINUING to push the “video” lie claiming that either they didn’t blame the video (followed by tape of them saying just that) or that “they didn’t have information” (followed by testimony under oath saying something different). It’s truly shocking that they continue to perpetuate a lie.

BTW Rich you said neither Obama or Romney were up to the job. But you apparently think Hillary Clinton would be…given her lack of achievement as SoS and this recent debacle, please tell me if she would still meet your incredibly high standards?

Romney’s response to Cutter’s allegation than Benghazi is an issue only because Romney raises it in campaign appearances:

“No, President Obama, it is an issue because this is the first time in 33 years that a United States Ambassador has been assassinated," Romney said during a campaign stop in Asheville, North Carolina. "Mr. President, this is an issue because we were attacked successfully by terrorists on the anniversary of 9/11. President Obama, this is an issue because Americans wonder why it was that it took so long for you and your Administration to admit this was a terrorist attack.”
