US Targeting 52 Iranian Sites

What possible value is there in making such a claim, whether true or not…Does this man have no restraint, or is he totally impetuous and compulsive?
 
In all seriousness, we could decimate the entire country of Iran. But do we really need another broken nation and possibly millions of dead Iranians?

I don’t think so.

How much restraint has Iran shown since 1979 ?

How long do we tolerate their sponsorship of terrorism ?

Unfortunately the last 40 years indicates they won’t stop sponsoring terrorism unless they are stopped against their will.
 
Well, we’ve made a lot of strategic mistakes that have led up to this.

We didn’t directly intervene during the Iranian Revolution or the Iran–Iraq War. We removed Saddam Hussein from power and further destabilized the region.

The US has allowed these situations to spiral out of control and proliferate. We’ve kicked the can down the road and this is the result.

Agreed. Something has to be done about Iran. Unfortunately, after kicking the can down the road for the past 40 years, the can is now Trump’s…and I have zero trust that he has any idea what to do with it without causing a world-wide disaster.

I have more trust in Trump than I had in Obama, and maybe W.
 
Trust in someone who told the world that Obama would start a war with Iran to get re-elected in 2012? Interesting.

Well said, I could expand but there is no reason to politicize everything. The country really does need our support, peace is needed in the world. Usually, when I pray, maybe my personal intentions are first but this time, praying for a peaceful resolution of all of this. We are facing evil.

Iran has mowed down over 1000 protesters in the past 2 months, it is said their proxy/puppet forces killed another 300-500 in Baghdad in recent memory. I think a lot of people aren’t really aware of what is going on.

The war in Syria is yet, one more nightmare.

Our nation needs to unite, unbelievable that some have to get one in against the Prez. still.

Their mistrust isn’t entirely unfounded.

The US did everything short of issuing troops to keep the Shah in power and then CIA agents prowled the country for most of the next 40 years.

The better solution that pretty much every other country does when these thing flare is just close the embassy.

It would be great to unite. But what should we unite behind?
What Trump has proposed, if carried out, would plainly be a a war crime.
Is that what you would like us to unite behind?
 
If the US were to deliberately target cultural sites like that, then it would be a war crime. Essentially doing the same thing as ISIS.
