The Marshall Plan dumped significant amounts of money into Europe and Japan.

You overstate the economic contribution. The US only provided $15b in aid for all of Europe, and 25% of that was given to the UK. That means all the other countries were rebuilding from devastation without rolling in US cash. The money was important but more so as a catalyst.

Split that among a dozen countries and it’s peanuts. It wasn’t US Govt cash that was essential to rebuilding Europe, though it did help.
