I will just pray that the children of anti-vaxxers do not get the diseases and that if they do, that they don’t suffer any of the bad life long side effects.
None of my children are vaccinated but I’m not anti-vax. I’m pro choice. If you want to vaccinate your children you have my blessing. I only expect the same respect in return.

So no reliable medical website? Just a political one?
Here is a sample of this “political” source.

"Official Documents
Pontifical Academy for Life
2005
Reproduced with Permission "

Is it really your position that the Vatican is participating in political propaganda?
The problem is not with the statement by Bishop Elio Sgreccia, which is (I assume) factually quoted in the ZENIT article. It is in the headline. If anyone reads that and does not read to the bottom of the letter from Bishop Elio Sgreccia, that person will get a distorted view of the content of the letter. In fact the conclusion of Bishop Elio Sgreccia is not as unqualified as the headline would imply. The bishop’s full letter is very nuanced and full of qualifications. Rather than quote it myself, I will just recommend that anyone who is interested should read the entire letter before assuming what is in it.

Your pediatrician would be the person you need to talk to.

here is another article which points out that some vaccines were never produced with human cells, polio being one of them

Believe me.
I and several other parents have researched thoroughly.
Vaccines such as you speak of are simply unavailable within my state, or the two next to it.

I never did understand the logic that we should discontinue a life-saving action because it works and no one is dying any more. In 2017, 110,000 people still died from measles. The killer is still there.

I don’t see how you can require vaccines if you meet once a week for an hour at a school for religious formation. They certainly didn’t at our parish. It’s just people getting together. I would seriously challenge that requirement.

I am not making statement here about vaccines, just that there is no policy to enforce vaccines at my church’s religious education, and there may not be at the OPs either, and requiring vaccines for folks to get together for a few hours to talk about Jesus is quite over the top IMHO.

Well I guess the community decided to let me decide and it’s my good fortune that you can’t do anything about it. 😁

…and bad fortune for the rest of us…
How exactly?
To the extent that Lemuel can, for no medically justifiable reason, forego vaccination of their children - children who interact in the communal world with the rest of society and expose that society to any infections they might pick up, the herd immunity is weakened for all of us, especially the vulnerable ones who do have valid medical reasons for not being vaccinated.

So the “rest of us” refers to only those that have an immunity disorder…not everyone as was implied.

Not exactly. It refers especially to them, but to a lesser extent it refers to normally healthy people too. People like family members of those vulnerable ones. Also, some vaccines are not 100% effective, so even a vaccinated person can become infected. Even a relatively ineffective vaccine can provide excellent results for the society if a proper proportion of the population is vaccinated. That is why it is a communal decision - because it has consequences for the whole community.
