It’s a moral disorder not an orientation.Of course. The jury is still out on this one and anyone is fee to believe either way.

Can you *imagine *the uproar by the rest of the world if that commercial sported either that phrase or the word “Heterosexual”?How about the babies arm band that saying “Alleluia! I escaped alive from the womb!”
Even if an infant were “born homosexual”, how the hell would anybody know this before they reach the age of sexual puberty? Do they hold them under a flouroscope, and homosexuals glow a different color???As a key part of its campaign, the regional government of Tuscany plans to use a photo of a baby whose hospital identity bracelet bears the French word Homosexuel.
Do these good, caring, normal people include the members of NAMBLA, Queer Nation, ACT-UP, and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence? Or is that only outside the Liberal Alternative Universe? In real life, same-gender people care about lots of people besides themselves. They are normal people like us with the only difference is sexual preference. They are often good, normal, caring people.
Pray for them.Even if an infant were “born homosexual”, how the hell would anybody know this before they reach the age of sexual puberty? Do they hold them under a flouroscope, and homosexuals glow a different color???

You don’t get the point of the commercial, do you?Can you *imagine *the uproar by the rest of the world if that commercial sported either that phrase or the word “Heterosexual”?
But apparently it’s okay as long as it’s promoting homosexuality.![]()
I presume the point of the commercial is to try and convince the world that some children are born homosexual. You don’t get the point of the commercial, do you?
How charitable you are! Have you ever met or talked to a gay person? Really, really, they are just like you and me - human beings with hopes and fears and dreams and pains. You should get out of the house someday, and meet one! And do you really, truly think being gay is a “choice?” Why in the world would anyone “choose” to live like that, to be potentially ostracized by their family, to be called names by people like you, to live a life without children or a socially accepted domestic homelife?Thats so true.
Then again, when have sodomites cared about anyone else? All they care about is their latest perverted sexual escpade.
I don’t think the world would be in an uproar. It would be like stating the obvious. We all assume that when our children are born, they will be just like us, straight. I certainly assume my two young children are going to grow up and be upstanding heterosexuals.I presume the point of the commercial is to try and convince the world that some children are born homosexual.
However, if the baby had the world “heterosexual” instead, the rest of the world would be in an uproar because of the implication that everyone was born heterosexual.
The science you depend upon is flawed. I would challenge anyone to prove at this point that homosexuality is even partly genetic. There are plenty of studies that are attempting to do this yet none of them even begin to chip away at the evidence based on nurture.Well, more and more research is pointing to that it is partly a genetic thing. There is a certain percentage of animals in the wild who are also same-gender preference and that is much more nature than nurture.
Pax,ilovekittens,
I would agree that same sex attraction is not chosen. Unfortunately, the causes do not prevent a person from learning not to act upon the impulses. Most drunks did not choose to be drunks. Most wife beaters did not make a conscious choice to be wife beaters. The same can be said about other disordered things we find in the world.
Any person that suffers from same sex attraction, but manages to live a chaste life will be blessed and rewarded by God in untold ways. SAS is a huge and painful burden for those who carry it.
Unfortunately, society is not giving this message. Instead, society is encouraging people with same sex attraction to act upon their desires as if this is perfectly okay. It has gotten so bad that it is now generally promoted in the most positive terms. This does a terrible disservice to those that suffer from SSA.
Call it what you like. There is nothing sinful about it until acted on so it need not be changed. It’s a moral disorder not an orientation.
I don’t feel it being pushed on me. Noone is depriving me of my right to worship as I choose and where I work we simply don’t discuss the topic. And I don’t by any means work in a Christian organization. There is no denying that it is all about charity. We must hate the sin but love the sinner. I must tell you, however, that I find it difficult not to get angry with those pushing the agenda. The political, social, and cultural forces at work leave me extremely vexed.
This is a rather unsympathetic view that would leave those with SSA out in the cold. There are many that have overcome SSA and they lead normal and happy lives. These people should be a source of great hope for others suffering from SSA. Surely, you cannot deny that it would be better for those that suffer from SSA if genuine and appropriate help were made available to them.Call it what you like. There is nothing sinful about it until acted on so it need not be changed.
I prefer to use the language of the Church.Call it what you like. There is nothing sinful about it until acted on so it need not be changed.
Do you read the newspaper and magazines or surf the internet? Do you watch movies or television? The agenda is everywhere else even if it isn’t at your place of employment.I don’t feel it being pushed on me. Noone is depriving me of my right to worship as I choose and where I work we simply don’t discuss the topic. And I don’t by any means work in a Christian organization.
On the contrary. One should have the option either way. If they want to change then go for it. If they want to stay as SSA and not feel guilty about it then acceptance therapy is recommended. I don’t have the means to get the reparative treatment and am happy with myself as I am anyway. This is a rather unsympathetic view that would leave those with SSA out in the cold. There are many that have overcome SSA and they lead normal and happy lives. These people should be a source of great hope for others suffering from SSA. Surely, you cannot deny that it would be better for those that suffer from SSA if genuine and appropriate help were made available to them.
But noone is making me live the lifestyle or taking away any of my other rights.Do you read the newspaper and magazines or surf the internet? Do you watch movies or television? The agenda is everywhere else even if it isn’t at your place of employment.
The Church uses both terms. They do not call the orientation a sin and do not require anyone to change it. They call them to chastity which is quite possible despite having the orientation.I prefer to use the language of the Church.
