Please check the article on: cathnewsusa.com/2011/08/vatican-call-to-formalise-communion-ritual/ Antonio Cardinal Llovera, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, encourages Catholics to recieve the Communion while kneeling! He finds it an important sign of adoration that needs to be recovered, and adds, ‘It is to simply know that we are before God himself and that he came to us and that we are undeserving.’ His Eminence also points out that a Catholic receiving the Communion while standing should genuflect or bow profoundly. Interesting! I often feel it is not enough to just approach and receive the Communion reverently. I used to genuflect but lately, and for the silly excuse of not to attract attention, I bow and make a sign of the Cross before stepping to receive the Holy Communion then go back to my seat and kneel. I would love to kneel and worship, it is the real presence of the Almighty God, the Saviour!! Peace, Rina
