How much is that scanky mannequin in the window ?
The one that is showing her tail.
Oh how much is that scanky mannequin in the window ?
I do hope that scanky fake chick is for sale.

My point is a simple one, where does the greater evil lay? Exposing that which God made or, mulitating that which God made?We should be careful not minimize one sin, particularly sins of the flesh, that are so rampant in this culture.
Agreed. Films in the UK seem to get a ‘15’ certificate now even with some pretty extreme violence or bad language, whereas even a small amount of sex/nudity seems to bump the rating up to ‘18’. The question of what should be in films in the first place aside, there is definitely a double standard in operation - violence is more ‘acceptable’ than sex/nudity.My point is a simple one, where does the greater evil lay? Unfortunately we often seem to get hung up about sex and it’s public exposition (personally I don’t feel comfortable with it and will happily ignore it) but we seldom seem to get upset about the number of people, both adults and children who die or are maimed for life because of our actions. So why is that?
It is not an either/or, but a both/and. Pornography is part of the culture of death and is not simply exposing what God made.My point is a simple one, where does the greater evil lay? Exposing that which God made or, mulitating that which God made?

The answer would be to raise the standard, not lower it.Agreed. I totally agree, now where are the vast majority of films made? …let me think… smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_12_5.gifThe answer would be to raise the standard, not lower it.
The bar should be level, or even the other way around (a depiction of consensual sex is much more palatable than a killing shooting spree, in my opinion). The answer would be to raise the standard, not lower it.
Non marital graphic displays of “sex” are equally as bad as gratuitous violence. The bar should be level, or even the other way around (a depiction of consensual sex is much more palatable than a killing shooting spree, in my opinion).
Where the bar should be placed is a different question. It is the discrepancy in it that I was commenting upon.

Fornication is hardly as severe a sin as murdering someone.Non marital graphic displays of “sex” are equally as bad as gratuitous violence.
Both are mortal and can kill the soul.Fornication is hardly as severe a sin as murdering someone.
Mike
Of course both are mortal - but that doesn’t mean the one is as serious as the other. Both are mortal and can kill the soul.
It is a bit of a Hobson’s choice. Would one desire to send oneself to hell through fornication or murder?Of course both are mortal - but that doesn’t mean the one is as serious as the other.

You had to see it to believe it I guess. Many mall shoppers likened it to Amsterdam’s red light district. A&F couldn’t compete with this one.I’ve seen much more provacative displays at Abercrombie and Finch. Other than the ususal stupid-looking and unnatural poses, there’s not much difference than the typical Victoria’s Secret display. I honestly don’t see why this one deserves more attention.
Obviously many mall shoppers have never been to Amsterdam. You had to see it to believe it I guess. Many mall shoppers likened it to Amsterdam’s red light district. A&F couldn’t compete with this one.

So you say its okay to Airbrush Christianity by calling Christmas the ‘holidays’? Modernist heresy if I saw one. Do you realize that the same businesses who say ‘happy holidays’ are same ones who neglected to allow a Christian float in their parades like Macy’s for example? Or did I just miss that?Airbrushing out Christianity by calling Christmas the ‘holidays’ or whatever similar nonsense sometimes comes under the banner of political correctness, though I don’t think that was the original point either.
MikeNo, it is one of these abused terms now that people use to mean just about anything they don’t like, like ‘Nazi’, ‘liberal’, ‘socialist’, ‘feminist’, ‘neo-conservative’, etc. etc.
