I could respond to all the messages here, but at the end of the day I choose to worship God and God alone. Not a statue, not an idol, not a man/Prophet labeling him as God and for that reason Islam is enough for me as it associates no partners with God. As God is perfect and has no partners, no son, no wife, no partners. God is perfect. And to say that it is only so God can understand us better, who will know us better than a creator. God will understand me and does not need to sacrifice himself for my sins, because all I need to do is ASK and talk directly to God and he can forgive me for my sins.
Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, I have no quarrels with Christianity other than assigning God a son. As for all the opinions/beliefs people have about Islam who betters knows the religion than its followers, all the things people have quote about war/wives/death I have heard it all before and it does not put me off because I actually read these events in context. As opposed to getting someone with no knowledge of the religion to interpret it.
For example saying Muhammed(PBUH) lived a more wordly life as opposed to Jesus(PBUH), Jesus(PBUH) lived a wordly life to but it was cut short and will continue when he returns. Muhammed(PBUH) did not approve celibacy and recommended marriage to avoid sins such as sex outside of marriage, and God forbid rape and peadophiles. Sadly as i’m sure u are aware of the tarnished reputation of priests/gangs etc… and hence celibacy/sex outside marriage is forbidden. The Prophet(saw) life was an example to us, if having many wives was just about lust why did he refuse the most beautiful women of arabia offered to him only marrying widows/divorcees and the only unmarried women being Aisha(ra) and Maria the Christian who accepted Islam and the reason for some marriages not lust but to provide safety and security to the women widowed/divorced plus peace/unity between tribes not lust. So people can say lust as many times as they want it does not convince me.
As for the wordly wealth, what wealth, he was married to Khadija(ra) his first and one of his most beloved wife and never married anyone whilst married to her. She was a very wealthy woman and when Islam began, they spent the wealth in providing to the poor and even going days without food so that the more hungry poor could eat. The tribe even at some point tried to cut of their trade/business so they became even more more and eventually Khadija(ra) died during this impoverished time as they had spent their wealth in charity.
The battles were to fight oppression and persecution and invading and warring tribes. I can think of no other army where it is part of the religion, not to harm women and children. The ‘loot’ that were spilt is part of any war. Do you not think the US benefits from the war in Iraq, Afghanistan etc… (oil/resources control) so that is naturally part of any battle. I cannot think of any war/battle that has not taken the loot but at least in Islam it is forbidden to harm the women and children and kill innocent civilians. Whether or not people in todays day follow it is another thing but it is a law set to us by God.
Neways I could go more into it, but people already clearly have a biased black and white picture whereas I have read more into it myself. Even I had my questions about it but I prefer the honorable way they fought wars back then as opposed to what the US and other armies ie Syrian/Israeli armies fight. Recent reports of a US soldier raping a child and killing her and her family as he did not see them as humans?! Israeli soldiers arresting a 5year old child?! Don’t look at the individuals to represent the people/religion, look at the religion.
Neways I cannot explain it any further, I just wished to give a olive branch of peace.
