Life under Communist rule!
Prediction: Neither thug will receive justice. Not in Obama’s Amerika. Rob

Yup. Can you point out to me where the actions of these individuals are anything other than that - the actions of individuals. The Westboro Baptist Church is much better organized than this group, should they be held up as representative of all Christians?
The WBC is a cult, and that’s how far you must reach to try to diminish the hatred spewing from this “gay” mob. :dts: Rob

That’s the whole point. Nobody cares if it was gays or straights. The point was the people were being beaten up for disagreeing with the homosexual agenda at a Pridefest.

Do you think Catholics would come out of Mass and beat up the gay protestors outside of the Church building?

We really don’t need your pontificating about Father Barron. I’m his FB friend and have taken his Catholicism series. Most of us here on CAF take our faith seriously and try to live it too. I have yet to see any regular poster here say we should hate a person for having SSA.

If that is the case, why did you take issue with my post? Clearly, my comments don’t apply to you. Does that make then any less valid in general? Do you think the views expressed on this thread up to the point where I posted are expressive of the Christian virtues of faith, hope and love?
I am my brother’s keeper?🤷

Good point. The “gay” activist protesters are a lot worse than WBC protesters. Unlike the “gay” activist protesters, WBC doesn’t invade and disrupt holy Mass and doesn’t protest naked in front of the Pope.
Wow, defending the WBC. This is a new low. :dts:

Have the Westboro Baptist ever physically attacked a person for voicing a contrary mainstream opinion?

You must have missed the big smilie grin 😃 in my response. See…

I guess Shana didn’t either. You reprimanded her for making a joke out of your misspelling. And you called her childish and silly. Putting a grin at the end of it doesn’t diminish your words.
Bellas:
It is always gratifying to me when a person has no better response to my comment than to pick on a typo. Silly, childish, etc.

Thanks! 😃
Doesn’t look too charitable to me.

I didn’t defend them. I said that they are bad but that the “gay” activist protesters are far worse ***since they get violent, they get naked, and they invade and disrupt the holy sacrifice of the Mass. ***

You do realize you are quoting a man who just killed his brother.

I believe the parable of the “Good Samaritan” is the answer to your question. Also applicable is the obligation of Fraternal Correction.

“That there is, upon occasion and with due regard to circumstances, an obligation to administer fraternal correction there can be no doubt. This is a conclusion not only deducible from the natural law binding us to love and to assist one another, but also explicitly contained in positive precept such as the inculcation of Christ: “If thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother” (Matthew 18:15).”

See: Fraternal Correction.

Glad you’ve studied the Bible and the Catechism. I have too! 👍

Great. Then tell me, why are you deliberately hardening your heart against me?
How do you know what’s in someone’s heart? Just because someone doesn’t agree with you doesn’t mean they are evil, if that’s what you are trying to suggest.

What? Now disagreeing with you is a hardening of my heart?

You have been lecturing me and others about what the Catholic Church teaches and where is what in the Bible as though we were clueless.

You should realize that you can, at times, come off as preachy and holier than thou.

I’m sure I’m guilty of that too.
