jerome said that paul said things that isnt present in herbew OT but present in the Greek translation of this herbew bible
so he didnt believe in the greek one and according to jerome paul told things that isnt present in herbew so paul lied
what church did? it didnt accept what jerome said so it keeped corrupted greek translation of herbew OT
Read the lines following the one you underlined.
Jerome said that the Greek manuscripts that Paul used were the best manuscripts, which most correspond with the authoritative Hebrew texts. Jerome did believe in the Greek texts. And Jerome did not call Paul a liar.

but the jews have the OT before christians so ,how paul add to OT ? is he prophet moses? if you believe that OT of jews are corrupted then you have to prove that corruption not just adding things and say that they were ommitted .

Paul was of Jewish origin, and a Pharisee, and was well-educated in the scriptures before he became a believer in Jesus Christ.
How did Paul add to the scriptures? And how are the scriptures of the Jews corrupt?

so as jerome said paul said lies that isnt present in herbew and also the greek bible is corrupted
you said that church didnt agree with him so the church authinthicated corrupted one
First of all Jerome never said Paul lies (you do) nor does Jerome disagree with the Church.

The Church affirms the scipture it authenticates is NOT corrupted.
Saint Jerome agrees with that.

That is YOUR accusation and exposes your intent.

:tiphat:

Saint Jerome found discrepencies between translations. So what!

That doesn’t make Saint Paul a Liar as you said!

It was addressed and resolved long before the Canon.

So whats the problem, that Saint Jerome found a problem that was corrected?

Or is your problem that you don’t believe Jesus is God. Lets get honest here!

can you tell us if church accepted what jerome said or not and why uptill now there are verses ommitted from herbew bible?

Of course the Church accepted Saint Jeromes work.

The Vulgate of 405 is acredited as his work.

Do you accept Isa as Lord?

read topic from begining:)
Jerome said that Paul had included citations from the Old Testament that were not contained in the copies that Jerome had.
Jerome did not suggest that Paul lied or that Paul had added to the scriptures. As a well-educated Jewish Pharisee,well-aquainted with the scriptures and traditions,Paul would have had access to writings that Jerome did not, things which had been lost
and forgotten by Jerome’s time.

What are the verses that you are refering to that are omitted from the Hebrew Bible?

go and pabtise all nations in the name of … … … .
Are you refering to the Gospel of Matthew 28,19 ?
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

Of course that would not be in the scripture of the Jews!
It was written by a believer in Jesus Christ!

From the orginal aramaic? You’re trying too hard to make the bible a forgery. Forget it, We could care less what you think. You don’t care about the turth only about bits and peices of info that you can use, out of context, destory Christianity.
