To me they are children of God struggling with a disorder of a magnitude that I can’t imagine. And with gratitude to God, I thank him that my crosses are not so heavy. I pray often for the conversion of their hearts by the Holy Spirit and that all who minister do so in a way that they can see the Face of Christ. The rainbow sashers are heretics.
What they are doing is promoting a heresy (obstinate post-baptismal denial of some truth which must be believed with divine and catholic faith).
For you to judge them heretics, you must have insight into their heart. However, only God (and the Church after due investigation and trial) can make that judgment.
For you to have that insight, you’d have to be God. Your judgment is a statement of Presumption (assuming that which is exclusively God’s). One who commits the Sin of Presumption has committed blasphemy and that is a grave matter. As I can’t judge your heart, I don’t make the judgment that you have done so but you and God can.
