When Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without telling His parents, was He disobedient? If not, why?
Perhaps He was disobedient to his parents, but He was certainly obedient to God. In situations in which God asks us to do one thing, and our parents ask us to do another, incompatible thing, of course it is God’s Will that takes precedence, even if the parents do not understand that or do not like it. That’s pretty much the explanation Jesus Himself gives w.r.t. the incident you ask about. (Luke 2:48-50)When Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without telling His parents, was He disobedient? He was thoughtless .When Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without telling His parents, was He disobedient? If not, why?
He was 12 years old and human. At 12, you don’t have fully developed prudential judgment yet, even if Jewish society considered you an adult or nearly an adult. He was thoughtless .
He could have had the decency to inform Mary and Joseph of what he was going to do to avoid the anxiety he caused them .
Source for that notion .Also, God willed this to happen in order to foreshadow Mary “losing” Jesus for 3 days when he died and finding him again when he rose.

Lk. 9:22).
No, they were responsible, in stewardship to God, for the gift (Himself), and they lost sight of Him, and it took them several days of deep sorrow and searching to find Him again (spiritual lesson). When Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without telling His parents, was He disobedient? If not, why?
