Was John McCain Pro-life or Pro-choice?

I believe he had the same views on abortion as W.

Pro life with exceptions for health endangerment of the mother, rape or incest.

Perhaps, but McCain had a successful funeral, without a doubt. Men of the same stature who passed on enjoyed a whole lot less coverage than Mr. McCain. Do you remember the funerals of Byrd, Kennedy, Lautenberg or Inouye? A lot of CAF readers might not realize all these prominent senators have all died.
Oh, I agree it certainly was. As for other funerals, I remember Kennedys out of the ones you mentioned. Not much at all the remaining.

McCain certainly had a lot of respect given two former presidents of different parties eulogized him.

Men as honorable and virtuous as John McCain are indeed rare. Many attempt to denigrate such great men. For they despise in them the virtues they, themselves, lack.

Do Trump supporters actually read his tweets? The president is a very angry man. Just recently he referred to a woman as a “dog”. He’s constantly insulting and lashing out. So it’s pretty rich… absurd and laughable really… to start a thread asking if McCain sinned by being angry at Trump…

…not to mention that Trump mocked McCain and his service in the most vile, disgusting and unChristian way…

I get and understand people who support Trump’s policies. I am alarmed by those Catholics who applaud and stand behind the man himself.

Back in 2008, the Media really attacked Sen. McCain as a racist, a fascist, a misogynist war monger.

I don’t think the people can be blamed if a lot of that stuck, its only been 10 years.

How do you define honorable?

It is possible others follow a higher standard than the one you follow based on your selection of an honorable man.

I feel sorry for the judgmental. They spend their lives criticizing others, even those who are greater than them.

The media says that about every Republican candidate, though. McCain was not special in that regard.

The woman is question attacked her President as a “racist” first.

President Trump’s tweet wasn’t unprovoked.

I don’t know if Trump was actually angry at her or not, or whether he was just reacting to an attack on his own honor. The President always fights back, that’s just his nature. BTW, so did Sen. McCAin.

Yes, hence the roll-eyes emoji. I’m not clear what the point is.
Whatever his reasons for going into politics, he was pro-life. And demonstrated a commitment to standing against evil.

That certainly is true.

But a certain segment of the population takes that kind of attack seriously, and for them they aren’t totally at fault for thinking McCain is a low life.

She started it okay I did not realize thiscwas an elementary school playground.
McCain’s stand on abortion is between him and God.
Keep it classy folks.

Online, I’ve mostly just seen other conservatives calling him a RINO.

I suppose that if one wishes to engage in detraction, whether is was 10 years ago or now, that person is quite blameworthy for that. At least that’s what the Church teaches about the grave sin of detraction.

Only one man is greater than the rest, the man Jesus

The poor man praying for his neighbor is greater than the rich man praying for himself

It is all in how you define greatness

I feel sorry for those who worship the people of this world.

I feel that one willing to lay down his life for others is quite honorable. Know anyone like that?

I propose we put our resumes on the table next to John McCain’s and see where we stand. 😎
