inJesus? Where were you last night when I needed you? LOL 😃
I think that ultimately, anything that would hurt people, emotionally, sexually, and/or physically, could not possibly be the will of God.

Islam was created by a man who wanted his own rulebook, and apparently, a lot of people follow that rule book to this day. I have read that he was illiterate, and the ā€˜Holy Spirit’ gave him the power to write this. ?? I dunno, just the whole religion sounds like a creation of man–not of God. Creating your own set of rules, that inhibit and make women looks like utter fools, for example, can’t be Godly. Notice, women can’t have four husbands! LOL

:rotfl:
its cause they didn’t have Maury back then šŸ™‚
on a serious note…
you said that he was illiterate but was able to write a book…
but that does not seem Godly…
so arent you contradicting yourself?

I’m saying I’ve heard that, but it doesn’t mean I believe it. 😃

lol@the Maury comment!

God has a sense of humor!!! I mean, he created all of us to sit here and debate Him all day long! šŸ˜‰

I have Muslim friends, and it truly seems like the women are truly not on the same level as the men. While the men seem to be protective of their women, they also speak for them. It doesn’t seem Godly, to me. Seems imprisoning, actually. (There are christians like this, but it’s not dominant in our faith, as I’ve seen in the Muslim faith.) Both genders don’t even go to the mosque together??? That just seems segregating and cold, to me.

I’m willing to learn…

Hello 😃 i agree…and i can’t understand how Allah fails to see that a woman feels hurt when her husband married another one.

agree

no the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with him šŸ™‚

and i don’t believe he was illiterate…the verses refering to ā€œilleterateā€ in quran are always in the context of ā€œthose who do not have scriptureā€ and NOT to those who don’t know how to read or write.

yep why only men? šŸ˜‰

maybe women bowing to Allah while men are behind them creates a problem to worshippers donno…but there are those who do not even shake the hand of a woman

Well, let’s take a look at it:

A)Muhammed stated that the Angel Gabriel spoke to him and revealed the Quran to him. The Quran is in direct opposition to the revelations of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. Therefore, one of the following must be true:
  1. The Angel Gabriel is a fallen angel. (St. Paul said that even if an angel were to come to earth to teach a different gospel, then ā€œmay that angel go to Hell.ā€ *)
That probably isn’t the case.

2)Muhammed was crazy.
  1. Muhammed was a liar.
If the correct answer is 2, then Islam is horse hockey anyway. Who wants to follow a religion based on the delusions of a deranged man?

If 3 is correct, then yes, Muhammed was a sinner.

B) The first thing Muhammed did after spreading Islam in a certain city was raise an army and go to Mecca to threaten the inhabitants thereof with said army into submission. Therefore either.

So, presuming Muhammed wasn’t crazy and was, in fact, a liar, he spread his lie via force. Sounds like sin to me.

The entire Quran is a guidance to bring people to the worship of One God. It is also to reassure the people, that the relationship between them and God is a direct one, without need for a worldly intercessor.

No, we dont believe in the trinity. But the Bible doesnt talk about the trinity much…or else we wouldnt have threads on here asking protestants to prove the trinity using *only * the Bible.
2)Muhammed was crazy.
They said Jesus was crazy. They said Moses was crazy. They said Abraham was crazy.
  1. Muhammed was a liar.
They said all the above mentioned messengers were also liars.

Exactly what they said about Jesus.

Dude, that is exactly what muslims say about Jesus. Muslims deny the divinity of Christ. Christ is necessarily divine. Why? He said so. That means:

A) Christ was really divine.

B) Christ thought he was divine, but really wasn’t. Therefore, he was crazy.

C)Christ knew he wasn’t divine, but said so anyway. Therefore, Christ is a lair.

(Quoting one of those guys on EWTN here)

You cannot hold any other view than those 3, except perhaps to state that Jesus didn’t exist.

I am a Muslim female, born and raised in America, and free to choose whatever way of life I want. I choose Islam, and i can tell you that it is far from oppressing women.

A muslim man is required to be protective of His wife. What is wrong with that. In terms of ā€œspeaking for themā€ then i dont know what you mean. The Muslim women that I know are very outspoken, as they were in the Prophet’s time.

Both genders can go to the mosque together, but they go to separate rooms. If you saw how we pray, it wouldnt take long before you realize why. šŸ™‚

 I get it. That makes sense. But tell me this: What happens if someone has a bad case of flatulence?

Can we please get back on topic? Don’t judge a sin according to your own definition, if you say Muhammad lied, show me where and what he said is a lie and prove its a lie. Islam allows marrying more than one woman. So it’s not a sin. Muhammad sought forgiveness for his ā€œsinsā€ because he was giving us an example. If the Prophet who is our example never asked for forgiveness, what kind of example is he setting?

lol.

Actually, they would have to leave the prayer, because it would cancel their wudu’ (washing before prayer) and therefore, they would have to leave prayer to redo their wudu’

If you say Muhammad lied, show me where and what he said is a lie and prove its a lie.
Muhammed said that Jesus wasn’t divine. Jesus said he was, in fact, divine. Therefore, one of those two people were lying. Because Christ rose from the dead on the third day, I think we can be fairly sure that Jesus wasn’t lying. Therefore, who was the liar? Survey says…

Muhammed! 😃

Dude (a word i do find very endearing šŸ™‚ ), that is exactly what the Children of Israel said about Jesus. They denied him based on the ā€œhe’s crazyā€ and you deny Muhammad based on that same idea.
You cannot hold any other view than those 3, except perhaps to state that Jesus didn’t exist.
You are basing those 3 views on an idea that I dont believe: *that Jesus said he was divine. * Jesus was not crazy, nor was he a liar. He was a man sent by God (as he himself said) who did only God’s will, not his own will (as he himself said) to call people back to the worship of one God. Divnity belongs to the One who never sleeps and is never in need of food and drink.

Do people worship Jesus? Yes. Does that mean that he told *anyone * to worship him? No. All this will be apparent on the day of Judgement, where God, who sent Jesus, will ask him in front of all of mankind if he ever told anyone to worship him.

And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "**O Jesus, son of Maryam Mary! Did you say unto men: Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah? " ** He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen.
(Quran 5:116)

Mohamed himself advised his companions ā€œdo not exaggerate your praise of me the way the Christians did to Jesus, the son of Mary, for verily I’m only a slave, so refer to me as a slave of Allah and His messengerā€

That isn’t proof. Jesus also said he wasn’t divine according to us. It’s God’s word against yours. There is no proof, your belief isn’t proof, it’s just your belief and nothing more than that.

Emad–our Bible is the proof. Over 500 (that’s a lot) people saw him after he was cruxifed, for example. Not only His followers. But, 500 (all types of) people saw Jesus AFTER HE DIED on the cross. That is not an old wive’s tale, it’s part of the Bible. The Bible is as close to a spiritual ā€˜history book’ as one can get. It’s not a set of beliefs, it’s God’s objective truth. The OT is actually what the Torah is largely based on in the Jewish faith. Did they (jews) make all of that up, too? LOL

Nice to see you, Emad–glad we are still talking! LOL šŸ™‚

Well since they saw him maybe that is proof that he never died? Also not all history books are true.

Nice to see you too, but I don’t know why we wouldn’t still be talking.
